    Mama is a very wise women - people may disagree but I believe no true religion is completely perfect or bad for that matter and all religions contain some truths and some falsehoods - i have serval books on Ifa and have learnt a lot! As far as i am concerned religions are a form of worshipping God according to the mindset of a particular people - i will always follow the religion of my Ancestors until the day i die - i have nothing against Christianity but as an African I would prefer not to be brainwashed into worshipping an image of a white man that did not even exist (ie Jesus could not have looked the way he is depicted) anyway everyone to their own sha i live in the UK and its interesting that most White people do not bother with church the only people that go to church are the black people especially Africans - sometimes i wonder if the white man knows deep inside that it was just a tool to enslave us mentally

      From what you wrote, it’s obvious that you have a lot against Christianity, Christianity didn’t enslave as black people , instead it gave us the tools for our liberation. You can communicate with me now, because the British missionaries taught us how to read and write. Please don’t forget to always differentiate the British missionaries from the British colonialists.

      My advise to you is do not be brainwashed like so many Africans today - question everything and reach your own conclusions
      No one religion is perfect - yes the British did bring a lot of good to Africa I never disputed that - they also did a lot of evil

    This professor illuminates one of the biggest problems with Nigeria. As illustrious as she is, her teachings are very parochial and leaning too heavily on the Yoruba civilization. If you are a Nigerian, unless you speak Yoruba, you cannot identify with the profundity, much less understand all of what she is saying. Her sectarianism is a great loss to the greater Nigeria. It is just unfortunate that she is born in a country as segmented, culturally, as Nigeria is.
    May her soul continue to Rest In Peace.

      +matthew Adelowo What did this Bible say about you as a black person? What is the Bible's verdict on slaves who die after days of being beaten by their master? Can women ever be freed? Can you take the four gospels and from them give a factually/ chronologically accurate account of the genealogy of this perfect Jesus? What of his birthday? his passion and death? If the perfect one is even more imperfect than other human pantheon/ mythology, it is obvious that our own heritage is more honest than those who claim to be more than what they are. Awon asheru bobatan won won yi. Eru to pe nile o le ri bi omo lai! The kind slavemaster will still will his property to his own blood

      @matthew Adelowo, the Professor is highly educated as from all accounts knows the bible. I suggest before you see this as "devil worshiping" (which you no doubt will even though the devil is a christian concept) why don't you pick up a book or 2 about the Yorubas, your own ancestry, really educate yourself, then decide if you still prefer the bible. Each to their own of course, but don't speak with such conviction about things you know little or nothing about. It's part of what is killing Africa

      My brother, i agreed with you. That compound idiot should have shown his face. Now, since this moron is quick to quote the unfortunate killings of twins in Africa, lets ask Legend Rob to explain to us the rationale behind over four centuries of slavery by the same folks who brought Christianity to Africa. Bible and Jesus loves you on one hand and heinous brutality and coordinated programmed extinction of what our heritage.

    • @legendrob6182
      @legendrob6182 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I indicated the claims to be ridiculous and that doesn't mean I condemn the culture as you wrongly asserted. When you say something is scientific, but its not, due to overwhelming evidences, then such claim would be termed FALSE and lacks credibility. Science deals with facts and not superstitions as Ifa oracle is wrapped up in superstitions and probability of chances. So, if we are to accept the claims of Ifa being scientific, and yet we do not progress in anyway compared to the whites who are involved in discoveries and manufacturing that created this platform for all of us to communicate for example, then we simply deceive ourselves.
      As for the Christianity brought to us by white missionaries, I am sure if you read the history, their intentions was gospel and preaching but was hijacked by their greedy governments. That lead slavery we talked about.
      But on the cultural inclinations, I disagree with the trend of extinction we experience from languages to core values.. However, we are to focus our attention on goodly part of our cultures and do away with culture of empty pride, boasting, wasteful ceremonies, tribal prejudices, by-all-means impression, money over merit, and preference for Oyinbo over black man counterpart which is in you. I am sure you can't deny this!
