@@TheMightyGarage Yes, pre-heating for both removal and re-installing. Otherwise the spindles get loose in the bores after a couple (or one) time of R&R. They are just a friction fit and risk rotating with engine running such that the oil pickup hole is not correctly aligned with the oil port in the head. Can use a little anaerobic (locktite) adhesive carefully in the inner bore hole to help hold them if yours are too loose.

The head should be heaten up for dismantling the rocker spindles.
