    The sound that you were hearing when you had the wheel up in the air is your brakes it’s called brake drag

  • @ghostrider-gm2wg
    @ghostrider-gm2wg 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The further you sit back on the seat the easier the front end will come up. Start at a crawl then give it a bit of gas and then let the clutch go a bit faster than when you take off normally. You have to take up the front end a bit higher than you did. Like someone in the comments said "expect to fall back several times" just part of the learning process. Dont worry about falling back if you are going slow. The grab bar on the back will keep the 4 wheeler from falling on you. Once you find the balance point, keep practicing. When you get it, with some practice, you will be able to upshift, downshift, go fast, slow even wheelie up and down on small hills. Once you have some practice, you will eventually learn how to feather the clutch, apply the brakes, and throttle in combination to do more than just simple wheelies. One more tip. You need to have the exact same tire pressure in the rear tires, otherwise it will always pull towards the same side of the lower pressure tire when doing wheelies. You will eventually learn how to use your weight to make it drift to either side you want. Keep practicong. You will get it, I promise. When you get it, you will be surprised how easy they are. Good luck, and be safe.

  • @motomafia2364
    @motomafia2364 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    If you have just started wheelies then it is going to be scary getting that front end up period, just takes lot of time and eventually you will get comfortable with having that wheel up, there really isn't a trick you can do to learn wheelies it's just alot of time and looping and you will get to balance point. Then after you are comfortable with that front wheel up there you can start learning back break, to learn the back brake at first you have to just get the front end up then purposefully hit the back brake to bring it down, and do that for a little while and then when you get good at it your mind will train itself to hit the back brake at the right times during your wheelie so you dont loop.....

    Oh shiz, see joe?? Bent rim 😂. I got you brother. In one of my videos while snow riding you can see my wheel going crazy a little 😂. For wheeling, I’d recommend doing stand up wheelies. Some would say “pop the clutch” or “jump on it” or something but what I’d do dude, is one foot on the rear brake and one back on the grab bar. I wouldn’t do clutch dumping because you’ll ruin your clutch basket and discs and trust me.. I know what that cost lol. My yfz has plenty of problems. If you still can’t do a wheelie, use both feet on the back and push but caution, you will pop up too easily so make sure to do this on a bad patch of grass where you don’t hurt yourself or the quad. Or just let’r rip on the road 😂. Anyways man, you’re welcome and keep up these videos my man!

      I got Chinese but made the mistake of getting 4 ply. Still not too bad. I just can't air them as low as 6 plys or they bottom out a lot. Beads don't break interestingly enough but it'll take impacts all the way to the rim if I don't at least air up to 6psi. Hell for about $150 I don't mind if I only get a year off them. Definitely doing 6 ply next time though.

    I have a wheel wobble problem too. I changed out the bearings, bought new rims and tires, but the wobble is still there. Any suggestions? Maybe the actual hub is bad? Or a control arm issue?

    When your doing a wheelie bring your torso back bc your leaning closer to the handlebars and it’s easier if you pop it on a hill

    When you do wheelies you have to keep your foot on the rear brake so if it starts to go over you hit the brake.

    There’s nothing in the tire. It’s the rotor dragging on the pads. Knew it was a bent rim all along

    check your rear air pressures, thats the reason your pulling hard to the right when you wheelie is cause the air pressure is off equal them out and you should be good

  • @americanbassin2648
    @americanbassin2648 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You need to get higher in your wheelies and use that rear brake your wheelies are all power and then you start go to fast then you don’t have any more gear that why you need to go back and use that rear brake to coast and slow down
