Is there a way to re reapply the glass without a laminating machine?
Thanks for your videos. They're very informative. Im trying this top glass lcd repair process and am being very careful with each step but somehow I keep damaging the LCD (vertical lines through the centre and some horizontal lines). I seem to be damaging it when I cut the frame and taking the frame off. Do you have any tips? Thank you in advance and keep up your outstanding work!!!

Hello javier, was the backlight wobble already in the lcd? Is it common issue?
Can this be done without the machine with just OCA and a UV light or is it more beneficial to just replace the entire LCD assembly at that point? Also for future reference do you have a link where I can purchase the machines with financing and pay for them in increments?

The reason I sought you out is that I recently had an accident with my iPhone XR which was such as ridiculous thing to happen because it was in the pocket of my baggy sweat-pants (really loose clothing) and it bashed against a cabinet door handle in the kitchen, which sits at the exact height to do the damage (perfect).
It caused an impact fracture on the side of the device and a hairline crack across the whole face and at the moment it is the protection film more than anything that is holding things together (the device itself operates normally).
I have been pondering the idea of getting the glass replaced at the Apple centre but I hear they are really expensive and I wish I lived in the States so I could use your service (I am in Thailand) but in this time of lockdown I might not have too many choices.
Anyway, just wanted to thank you for the video because now I have an insight into the work involved.

I have Insignia protector screen still in place and I don't know what caught that edge but it did not break the protector but now has a hairline crack and a second one which is nearly impossible to see unless I turn it off and then use a bright light at an angle. Since the protector is not cracked and everything is below it and working like new would it be negligent to just keep it how it is? I am still trying to see if Insignia has a warranty for not protecting the glass but I am not seeing that so far. Nice setup you have, thx

So conclusion I got from this is that I can't do this. I need a couple of specialized heaters, some laminating station, some special cleaner fluid. Is it possible for a DIY repair? And btw where do I get a replacement glass cover from and what does it cost?

Hi, I just watched another one of your videos showing an XR with touch issue due to the copper band being damaged that runs around the touch layer. What I’m wondering is how’s you get inbetween the glass and the touch so you can just replace the glass.

Hi Daniel we charge 129. XR are very delicate and success rate for repairing without damaging the touch is high. So we recommend just replacing entire touch panel as well. It will still be original with original touch panel

What would you estimate the cost of equipment to be for everything you used in this video? I do repairs, and I don't like having to replace the whole display and charge customers more when all they need is new glass. I'm considering buying equipment for glass only repairs. I received the phone used from my cousin and it-works 100% fine just few cracks in front glass, also I think he was going to repair or try him self but didn’t , and the camera glass is missing along with the bezel,??? The cameras are exposed due to glass and bezel missing but camera works fine . I know the phone is only like 4 months old, but like I said I thank god I got it before he tried opening it, lol.... anyway I would like for you to just get it back to the way it was new...... WELL AS CLOSE ANYWAY. Thanks again and I hope you can help me out ,it’s a beautiful phone would hate to have it just sit around and e forgotten !!

Yes the earpiece flex needs to be transferred there programmed to phone you need swap them over

Buying a new XR LCD, none of them come with the Face ID stuff behind the front camera. So all we have to do is take the Face ID components from the original screen and screw them onto the new LCD?

I have an iPhone XS Max that needs front glass replacement and the lcd works fine. I don’t have a problem with the cracks but one of them goes through my front camera which makes it blurry and extremely annoying. How much would it be for a glsss replacement?

I keep damaging the bottom of the lcd at the corners when trying to remove the frame. Even when I go gentle. Any tips? It’s hard to make out the video when it’s sped up
These are tricky don't remove it completely. Break them off on the corners
Cracked screen only . I was told I have to get both lcd and glass screen repaired because they come Pre assembled already. My lcd is fine. Is this correct?

Good work, but why you don't use the freezer to separate the glass from the lcd? it's more easy or not?
We use freezer for AMOLED only. Lcd moisture can get in between the lcd and backlight

I got a bunch of xr lcds that have partial touch... how would you replace the digitizer ?

When replacing the digitizer for this model the glue is such a pain to remove. Can you recommend any other way apart from using my finger to slowly rub it off because this takes about 20 boring long minutes haha. Keep up the good work!

Not sure if its got a proper name. but you may be able to search oca glue removal rotary tool.

How do you prevent dust or lint from getting under the glass? I know you cleaned it but still it's gotta be perfect.
Clean room and machine regularly. We also use a humudifier in our workstation to catch floating dust particles.

Prefer to laminate on a magic mould and not in the jig i put the lcd on buy hand onto the glass, alignment is not an issue as it black anyways.
