  • Hi everyone.
In this video I have tried to clear the concept on how to solve numericals based on milk standardisation by Pearson Square Method. This topic is very important for entrance exams and competitive exams related to food technology.
Hope it will be helpful to You.

Amount of tonned milk is 580 kg
Because amount of cream removal is 20 kg.
    Am I right?

    Dear Rachna,
Can you solve some more questions(#Algebraic method/other suitable method)
Q1. Calculate the efficiency in percent (rounded off to 1 decimal place) of an oil expeller which yields 37 kg oil containing 5% solid impurities from 100 kg mustard seeds. The oil content of the mustard seed is 38%.(GATE2023)
Q2. The weight of 10 kg dried cauliflower containing 5% moisture (wet basis) after rehydration is 60 kg. If the fresh cauliflower contained 87% moisture (wet basis), calculate the coefficient of rehydration (rounded off to 2 decimal places).(GATE2023).

    580kg tonned milk
    30 part = 600 kg milk
    29 part of tm = 29 ×600÷30 = 580 kg of tonned milk

Explain someone to me, please! Why on 4:15 I see "desired fat of milk" in the middle of square - equals 1.5%. But yat it's said "Double toned milk with 3% fat"? 3%! not 1.5%! Why?

whole milk=3636.36 kg & skim milk used for std=1363.63
      Method used Pearson square.
Cross checking using the fat =3636.36*6/100+1363.63*0.5/100=5000*4.5/100
