Exo Zombies wasn't all that bad but not perfect either. Was fairly fun. I got all the easter eggs completed except for Descension, this was next to impossible solo and was pretty stressful especially during the treasure drone step as i either run out of ammo before all the drones are destroyed or i get downed before completing it. The furthest i ever got personally was the simon says step and that's where i couldnt go any further because i had pretty bad memory at the time on top of the fact that each zombie's health cannot be prolongued if it's the last zombie as they will die after their timers run out killing the zombie instantly. And its hard to focus when you have multiple zombies catching up to you fairly fast and even distraction drones are a no go as those can kill the zombies. This step was designed for multiple players and not balanced for single player.
I think the idea of Exo suits in games really wore out it's welcome for me after playing fallout 4 and dead rising 4 back to back. Maybe they can be fun depending on execution, but it seems gimmicky more than anything especially in those games. (Yes I know power armor existed before Fallout 4 in case anyone mentions that, but they weren't actually exo suits in game with different mechanics they were just heavy armor.)
I try to like Exo Zombies. But, can't really. There's only a couple reasons why I don't like Exo Zombies as much as I want to. 1. Too many EMZs... If they lowered the amount of those zombie or even just out right removed them, this mode would be so much better. 2. The special rounds, especially on the later maps, they suck. The escort rounds, bomb defusal, and even the forced boss fight on Decent. These things are the main reason why it is so hard for me to like this game. I've even put 100+ hours into the mode, but still can't just get into it. Like seriously, I've put that much time into this mode, but can barely ever make it to round 30. Mean while on every other zombies game, round 30+ is easy. Exo Zombies is a tough one to love. That's pretty much it. Also, Exo Zombies wasn't made by Sledgehammer. It was made by Raven. The only Zombies game so far that was ever made by Sledgehammer is WWII Zombies, seriously... Even the awful Vanguard zombies was unfortunately made by Treyarch. I also think the reason Exo Zombies seems so much harder, is not because of the Special Zombies(Mainly just the EMZs) or even the special rounds. It's because mechanically it is so much more different than anything before it, or even after it. That is yet another reason why I feel it is so hard to get into. Okay, enough rambling, I'm out. I really wanna like this game, but man... It is just too weird, and difficult. Edit: Nerd time; AW Zombies was also the first zombies game to introduce the 3 hit system. Not BO3. Same with the Boss Fight, AW did it first.
