The reason RM is written in English is because it can’t be written in Korean.
알엠 it can be written in korean but he has gone by the english writing since the beginning so he stuck with it.
Kat yeah I know, I’m actually Korean haha. But when it’s written in Korean it isn’t fully accurate, same with some of the other stage names, but they use the Hangul anyway.

The original purpose of these “dance practice videos” was to send them to broadcast companies and award shows in advance so they could know the choreo, prepare camera angles and the stage. That’s why in some of them they have the name tags.
Kpop groups used to do only these for that purpose but started sharing them with fans a few years ago

Most of the time they have different choreographer or group who choreograph the song and send them the video. Then they learn and modify if its needed. J-Hope plays a crucial part here as the dance leader. He learns the choreo the fastest and sometimes helps others to learn. They also have a performance director named Son Sungdeuk who incorporate everything and makes sure the performance is on point.
A lot of world renowned dancers choreographed for them. The members also do it sometimes.
The one at the intro and also the elastic guy is our one and only dance leader J-HOPE!!!!

They wear large name tags to help the staff, especially the camera staff, keep track of them or spot them while dancing
I was looking for a comment like this. I thought they wore tags so that the stylists can coordinate their outfits because if you watch their performances, when they dance in subunits their outfits are so coordinated
Yes, Before the show, Korean dance groups sent this kinda videos(with name tags) to music show program's staffs. So camera director decide their cut and sequence during a stage. So This is for MAMA staffs.

This is a performance dance practice, that's why the back up dancers are there. The reason they have the name tags on is for the performance onstage, cameras, placement, etc. And it's Hobi in the centre, pretty easy to figure that out, he dances like he has no bones!
Hobi always stands out to you it's so sweet. He's in the center at the beginning and the one that moves like a piece of rubber ,like water anyway as I say lol.
Also the transitions are so clean and quick it's rediculous. I didn't even notice them at first watch. Especially V and Jungkook here. Amazing.

Dude. When they did idol at one of the year end shows they shock the whole structure. It was them and a whole lot of dancers. The people sitting around were surprised. It was crazy! Imagine! A bunch of people doing all this dancing and jumping at the same time! So much energy

Dancing with a group of people to get a routine down typically takes months to maybe a year to do. It depends on what kind of event is scheduled for the performance, and the finale product truely centers around teamwork.
Whether with strangers or friends, communication is important when it comes to dancing.
Since BTS has been together for so long, they know each other's strengths and weaknesses and help compliment each other. They honestly have the complete package.
This body roll is one of the best

as a dancer in a team, i can confirm that the work put into the dances is crazy and it's really-really hard (it gets emotional in the studio sometimes lol), but in the end, it's *so* worth it.
What is really good in this group is that the members did not overshaddow the others. We all know that four members are actually in the danceline, but it is hardly to notice that because they are almost equal/the same when performing.

I think they wear those nametags because this is a dance practice for an award show. So they send these clips to the production team or whatever of the award show, so the people there can get an idea of their performance and their individual positions and stuff. (since obviously the people there might not know their names, hence the nametags)

I'm dancing ballet and contemporary now since over 10 years and every move has a name and like every single position of your head and arm etc too so it's like a language and when you're a dancer you have to know this vocabulary and it's very complex. In hip-hop it's not nearly as complex as in ballet but there is still a vocabulary and some moves have a name (but as I said it's not comparable to ballet) but yes you write it down with these terms
I some times forget that these guys are SINGERS .......They literally can dance as good as top class dance groups. BTS being the whole package!!!
They are so talented .. To be singing and dancing that good got me breathless just thinking about it.

Yes! finally starting with the dance practices. trust me you will not be ready for any of the dance practices. ive watch it multiple times but im still blown everytime.
In this dance practice I could totally tell that they were exhausted. Jimin always oozes way too much energy and here you can assume that he is trying too hard (same with other members). Definitly not their best dance but still, you can see how much they work and how it pays off.

This dance practice isn’t solely a mic drop dance practice actually, this was a practice for an award show which is why there are other ppl there. It’s also why the dance break is involved since sometimes they perform it without a dance break and sometimes they do. You can also tell that there isn’t AS much energy in their dancing as usual because they’ve been practicing a lot before filming this. It’s insane that they can still perform so well even tho they’re so tired and are saving their energy
