Much agreed, this is actually my favorite live performance of this song. And many of their Facelift songs remained underrated, especially compared to their Dirt titles.
Literally best performances of It Ain't Like That, Man In The Box, Love Hate Love, We Die Young, Queen of the Rodeo, and this song. It's not even close
I wish I was in the crowd at this particular live performance. The crowd should be a lot more amazed at the end. This is an exquisite performance. Great upload!!!
A lot of people don't seem to sense the inauthenticity of poser bands like Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, etc. When Alice in Chains performed, you knew they were living every song, living every moment...not only were they energetic, they were passionate too.
Godsmack aint posers. Were they heavily influenced by chains hell yes they were. Their names shouldn't even be in the same category, godsmack has their own style so does chains. But five finger death pussy is horrible lol
I have listened to many recorded and live versions of this song and this one is the best. The tempo is PERFECT. So many of the other versions are too slow and it drags. I keep coming back to this
@mjpanek68 You´re welcome, Melissa! They didn´t perform "Confusion" very often live so keeping this greatness from the world would be a crime I didn´t want to be held responsible for :D
@oyfen92 You´re right, there´s only a handful of live performances of Confusion out there, one of the best in my opinion from the Club With No Name in 1991. Damn shame it is, it´s one of their best slow-ish songs ever. But a lot of their Facelift material suffered from the same "neglect" later on. You´re welcome, oyfen92!
how come they almost never played this live? And how come I've never discovered you on youtube before?! Thanks a lot man, you are a fucking saint for posting this!
@dmmbrowns I honestly don´t know. I must have something to do with the fact that AIC are in general such an underrated band. I´d crawl on skinned knees anytime if I could hear Confusion on the radio. Recognize my disease?
I see what you mean, but Godsmack has some decent stuff to jam out to. Five Finger Death punch is about as corny as it gets to me. Nothing beats some live Alice from 90-92 in my opinion.
@emidore I agree and that´s why I dislike bands like Godsmack. Layne once said that there's no really any huge, deep message in their songs, that they were recording a few months of being human. And there lies the passion and authenticity you´re talking about.
Hahaha, I can imagine. Well, you know how they say, you can´t argue about people´s taste. I´m personally not a fan of AS either, just as I have a natural aversion against most of the newer, so called post-grunge bands. But there´s a mindblowing, totally unknown post-grunge band from Russia called The Glue. Their music sounds like something Nirvana would record today, if they were still active. Let me know if you want to give them a listen, I´ll hook you up with their stuff.
I cannot get enough of this performance! I wish they had performed this song live more often and there was more video footage of it
Same bro I wish there was the same type of video and audio quality as Love ,hate love which I get goosebumps every time I listen to the live version.
Agreed, the best audio quality of this song live.
Love this song. First time hearing it today. What a voice, what an artist, OMG, I can't put into words how I feel....
Much agreed, this is actually my favorite live performance of this song. And many of their Facelift songs remained underrated, especially compared to their Dirt titles.
His voice brings tears to my eyes.
Ohh my Lord ..ME TOO
The audio is so good.
Great song!!
Layne was the BEST singer of the 90's
He is the best singer. Period.
Live at Dallas 1990 was their best performance, that should have made it into 2000 Live album
Literally best performances of It Ain't Like That, Man In The Box, Love Hate Love, We Die Young, Queen of the Rodeo, and this song. It's not even close
i realize it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released series online?
@Stanley Riley i would suggest Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)

They were probably speechless and memorized listening to Layne..like I am right now.

God, his voice❤
Yep.Sunshine is amazing IMO. I listen to it everyday, The vocals are tremendous.

Just amazing. .. It hits your soul!!.
this is awesome, thanks for uploading, really love hearin layne in his prime
They should have played this song live in 92 and 93
I wish they would have played this song during the Live at The Moore show
God i wish this song was not so relatable. Its seemingly overlooked compared to other songs of theirs. .but its so damn good.
So much better live. Totally different feel. I like how he goes lower on the second Craaaaaaawl.
Out of this world
1:07 absolute power in that voice
Confusion
AWESOME !!! Thanks a lot ♥
Jerry's tone is👌
how come they almost never played this live? And how come I've never discovered you on youtube before?!
Thanks a lot man, you are a fucking saint for posting this!
People still haven't recognized how good face life was, I think it's their best album
@@luckylarry88 Facelift is right up there with Dirt for me. But really can't go wrong with any Layne Staley era AIC album.
@dmmbrowns I honestly don´t know. I must have something to do with the fact that AIC are in general such an underrated band. I´d crawl on skinned knees anytime if I could hear Confusion on the radio. Recognize my disease?
Incredible thx
Love Jerry's Solo !
@kyle8769
You´re very welcome! Glad you liked it :D
Awesome Thanks :3
I wanna set you free, yeahhhhhhhh, recognize my disease

Powerful, intense singer. Layne Staley. He was talented out of his mind. I'm practicing Chris Cornell and Layne Stayley's vocals to improve my vocals.
@AICMasta You´re very welcome!
Fucking epic
@plutonianode Agreed, I´m a Sickman for his music.
Lanye staley

Newsflash: Nobody cares. :)
I don't really dislike Godsmack as much as I do Five Finger Death Punch lol, that shit is HORRIBLE.
You say you don't like one bad band but then list a worse one right after. lol
