I have a question about LaunchBox/RetroArch and since you have so many informative videos about it, I thought I'd ask you: What is the best way to handle using multiple, physically different controllers for each emulator? For example, I have a USB NES controller that I want to use to play NES games and a Genesis controller to play Sega. When I map the controls for these, the Auto-config is usually way off. When I finally get things how I like them (editing actual auto-config files and making sure it's recognizing right device), I have to change them again just to play another console because the mappings are so different on the platform-specific controller I'm going to use for that particular core/emulator. Any suggestions? Eventually I'd like to build my own cabinet and have the arcade controls to use for controlling the front end and then controllers to play consoles on. Is that possible or will I run into same issues I'm describing here?

1:30 Recommend compressed format for PS1 games is CHD but this one may not work with older emulators like ePSXe.

since retroarch is integrated, what is the best way to tweak the settings (like scale, full screen, shaders etc)? is that done through LB or do you just open a game using the retroarch core and get into the retroarch menu from there and then away you go?

I still really wish we had the option to automatically scan for new games instead of having to manually import them.

Launchbox is so good that GOG Galaxy copied the way it can import the Steam library along with other PC game launchers, and careful what you do with that Big Box license file, you'll Dox yourself if you share it 😀

Whenever there is a new version of Launchbox Im keen to test it out every couple of months or so, but each time I am suprised at how bad the performance is especially in BigBox. If its possible, could you make a video sharing the best practice settings for BigBox in order to have it run smoothly? I am currently using Attract Mode and even with a ton of animations and videos running on screen at the same time, transitions between layouts and running the conveyor up and down does not slow things down. Since Launchbox is a much more streamlined experience as a whole I would really want to use it when the performance is fixed

Question from an emulation noob. What is the advantage of using LaunchBox as opposed to just using retroarch directly?

I'm so glad purchased my Forever-License back in 2015 for 20 USD xD
Don't get me wrong, LaunchBox is just awesome and i would still recommend it, but a 2021 annual license costing 10 USD more than my forever license from 2015 seems a little bit pricy to me....

Question, will you get a Orin/Orin NX Devkit to test and "Predict" the performance of the Switch 2/Plus/Dane? Like you got the Jetson Nano Devkit earlier?
Orin NX running at 10-15W is very likely to be very close to the configuration that will be used in the next Switch, so that's why I am asking.
