UPT and PTO are the biggest pros of Amazon. I have literally been standing in pack and decide to just log out my computer and walk off. I go on the app, put in PTO and clock out. I say nothing to no one. I have never had that on a job before Amazon.

how much do they give you in one day? how much pto upt vto? I’m going to start mon so I shall find out but im curious to how fast they give you guys that. And yes I like that all you gotta do is us an app no need to tell your boss you going to be off or be gone the rest of the day.
My location they stopped us from doing that, we need to write our name on the board so they can fill somebody in our station after we clock out early.
At my facility they HAVE to keep track of headcount so we are required a one hour heads up to our AMs by writing on the board when we will be leaving you still technically leave when u want it's just common courtesy to notify your department

I only work 3 days at Amazon and I used my UPT to take a vacation (1week) I came back to work the week after and people thought I quit 😂

I am a UPT Ninja for my UPT I have 5hrs and 27mins and for PTO i got 46mins. And Im new to Amazon so i got to get use to it. Right now im Seasonal Associate. And i have to let it build back up. I just got a email on today about im elgible for conversion to blue badge so im super excited about that. I body has to get adjusted to working in a warehouse the area im in i really like it im in Decant area and the work is not hard. Its just the standing up a long time. I work 10hrs for Wed-Sat from 7am-5:30pm, so coming from a job sitting down driving for 8hrs all night long is a big adjustment for me. But Amazon does have alot of perks my previous job didnt offer.
Ayyeee congrats on the conversion offer!! And right amazon has its cons but there's definitely pros as well, take advantage!

I have worked for an Amazon DSP for the last 2 months. We accumulate 1.5 hours of PTO each week. We are also eligible for health insurance benefits. I originally thought I would get these benefits starting March 15 because they told us that we would be eligible after 30 days of employment. In reality, I have to wait until April 1 because I guess the employer only likes to pay for "full" calendar months. Kinda stupid but whatever, I'm a healthy person it hasn't been an issue. We also have voluntary time off (VTO) offered to us through text messaging when the DSP is overstaffed for the following day. We don't have anything like UPT.
I got a few questions on if you still working at amazon boss and what shift you work?? Im just trying to figure out how to balance these 3 in a row 12 hr weekend nightshifts with my 4 offdays (sunday-wednesday) and kind of build a productive good sleep schedule lifestyle cause i graduated high school this year and i straight up dont do shit but hang w my 3 close friends and work which i guess is truly a positive long term but I need more structure and maybe a side hustle? I got no idea
I’ve only used 49 hours of UPT last year, and to this day, i still have my 80 hours! I used about 91 hours of PTO last year! And right now, i am almost 2 hours LOL!
I worked at USPS for 17 years. From the start of working there, they gave us 4 weeks of vacation a year (5 weeks, if you've worked there for 15 years), and we accumulated 4 hours of sick leave every pay period. At the end of working there, it was different for new employees. They only received 2 weeks of vacation a year so I don't really know what the policy is now. But they only gave out vacation (annual) leave and sick leave....and FMLA , but you'd have to use your annual leave hours for that. They allowed you to take one week off for bereavement, but you'd have to use your annual leave for that too. I didn't like that you had to explain your absences to supervisors, and sometimes show proof from a doctor if you used sick leave because I'm a person who doesn't find it necessary to go to the doctor unless I'm dying...but that doesn't mean I feel well enough to do physical labor, you know what I mean? So that was annoying. I love the flexibility with attendance when it comes to Amazon because I don't want to explain or be telling people my personal problems (or have to lie in order not to) when I take off.
Shhesh 4 weeks right off the bat is great and I definitely agree I wouldn't want to explain why I wanted to leave no matter what the reason is I just want to leave and that's that lol.
dude i just finished my second week and am so sore. got met tomorrow night. i wanna use upt so bad i want the rest, not the money. i’ll get the hours back in 5 weeks
Just be responsible with it and yeap I remember that soreness forsure! It'll last about a month/ month in a half your body will get used to it!
Yeah, it's just like getting back in the gym. It takes a little while to get used to. A lot quit before they acclimate. In college many years ago, I worked at Sam's Club back when we had to lift all of the customers orders. I was sore 1 month. Then my arms got so toned. It was a bonus. Hang in there.
You can do it!👍 I felt the same way 2 year ago. Do your exercise everyday you work! Drink plenty of water. Get plenty of rest on the days you work. and enjoy your days off. 😊
How do I use my pto after coming late . There was a crash that made me be 10 minutes late to work
I work at Amazon now. I've been there for a little over two months. So far we have been getting 30 minutes of UPT for everyday that we work a full shift. Does that ever stop accumulating, or does it only stop once we reach 80 hours? I know 80 hours is the max we can get, but I don't know if it's based on accumulated hours, or the max they give for the whole year. I mean, if it keeps accumulating based on the days we work a full shift, then that would mean that we need to use it at some point since we could easily earn more than 80 hours in a year, especially since they make us work 5 days a week sometimes, right?
One of the managers also told me that using UPT three days in a row would possibly be considered job abandonment so, that was useful info.
I'm not 100 percent sure on that you would have to run that one by HR to know for sure also ask HR about that upt 3 days in a row idk about that one I thought it was as long as you don't go negative.

if your shift is 8 hours and you clocked in 7 hours 49 minutes . one hour UPT will be charged

I have 32 hours of PTO and 67 hours of Vacation. My department doesn't use UPT, so I really gotta stay on top of my time.

I just found out Area Managers only get PTO and Vacation, meanwhile PAs like a full time employee, get PTO, Vacation, and UPT! Part Time, like Me, only gets UPT and PTO and flex, only gets PTO!

I’m about to start working at Amazon this Sunday I got hired as a seasonal part time and I planned a family trip a year in advance everything is booked. Do they start you off with any PTO or do you have to earn it? PLEASE RESPOND!!! I really need this job but I also need to go on this trip and my trip is literally next week I don’t what I’m going to do
I would go talk to HR as soon as you get there with proof of your flight or hotel showing it was already booked and they would give the final answer on that call.

Yes I’ve seen many people come back the next year after being terminated for upt
Also if you go negative during your shift by less than 30 minutes you can gain that back if you work your whole shift if that answer your question

What’s the difference between pto and vacation time? Other then vacation needs approval and pto doesn’t
PTO is personal time off. Not paid time off like vacation
