Definitely don’t begin by using a drill to put the screws In like did, or the lack of oil, or turning the crank before installing the timing belt (The belt he put around the three pulleys right before the fan). This little engine is certain to have an early death and overhaul.

Crankshaft goes into the block first, then the piston and rod assemblies.
This engine assembly isn'y done correctly and people must not follow this as guideline else the engine will be ruined. Firstly, as some has already commented there isn't any lube applied during assembly. Is a big no no as the initial start would cause great damages. Second, you shouldn't crank the camshaft without installing the timing belt with proper timed engine. It will create valves and pistons interference that causes huge damage. Not trying to be rude, just highlight the importance of proper engine assembly. Thanks for your video anyway!

Quick question ik in a big actual gas car motor you can lube the parts with oil but what do you use for these little things
@@mudderscotch4017 Since it is a Nitro engine, can applied a coat of nitro fuel or after run lubrication oil to it pistons, cylinders, rods and bearings. While coat model grade grease on the camshaft and rockers since it does not meet with the nitro fuel while running.
Nitro fuel has heaps of oil in it so he did fine i mean just look at new engines made by O.S they run forever and they have a drop of machine oil so his building is just fine you try grease or huge amounts of oil and watch how many glow plugs burn out.

I must ask you as a mechanic and I am not a engine builder but obviously the engineering is done but would you assemble a normally aspirated engine in this way and I don't need to know about the lubricant.

It's a 2-cyle motor it gets its lube from the NITRO fuel Not real motor oil.

Holy shit dude i can't believe you didn't snap the heads off those bolts using that impact but driver dam! Or pull the threads out of the block thats way too tight you're going
I think its has a clutch and can be adjusted to a max torque as desired. just enough to not snap the heads off

i think that the cylinders came pre lubed because when he was fidiling with them his fingers were greasy
Any engine needs assembly lube. Never put parts together dry like that.
