We are back with a new video. This vlog is all about our Sankranti Festival Celebration’s in New Jersey, USA. We miss our families in India 🇮🇳 specially for such auspicious festivals, but also following all the rituals though by our parents & elders. This festival is celebrated for 3 day’s that is Bhogi, Sankranti and Kanuma. We tried our best to celebrate all 3 days, which gave us immense happiness & satisfaction.
Makar Sankranti is the celebration of the sun's journey from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere and is considered an auspicious time.
A variety of sweet and savory dishes are prepared on this auspicious day. Dishes like Til Ke Laddu, Puran poli, Khichdi, Pongal, Gur Halwa, Til Patti, Pualo Rice, Payasama and more are cooked in households.
