While the patterns can seem complex, the applications are simple. I enjoy panuntukan because of its direct approach and that it can throw purely western boxers for a loop for a minute or two and that's all you may need to change the fight.
Both hands can be use as attacking hand or defensive hand. When you attack or block, either of the 2 hands can be use as attack and defense or control the opponent's body at the same time. Both hands always works at the same.
This is a lot older than Wingchun. I can still remember this being thought during my college physical education. Filipino are actually good in Street Fighting and self defense. You can actually see that by watching Filipino Boxers fight inside the ring.
I want to order DVD of this but even with the english translation its hard to buy. i have some questions 1) is it spoken in english 2) how do i order once the DVDS are in my cart?
@ Nixon Nguyen Lol This art has nothing to do with wing chun fool! It is based on Filipino knife fighting. The angles are from FMA, the parries, the blocks, the counters, the limb manipulations, the balance manipulations, the strikes are all Filipino martial art.
What get me about these uploads they list all the things they are going to show EXCEPT 1: No free Sparing? To my mind you want to see if an art works look at its free Sparing
Majority of panantukan techniques are base on western boxing with emphasis on hammer fists and some low line kicking like kick boxing..... you can only punch in so many ways and hammer fist in so many ways..... if you respect Kick boxing and muay thai, then you will also respect the art of "panantukan".....
Some techniques in this video are kind of complicated to use in a real fight, especially against trained fighters. some takedowns takes lots of movement compared to judo, bjj, sambo, wrestling which can be easily countered 0:55 , straight forward techniques is more practical in real fights, like in judo, bjj, once you grab, you attack it's center of balance, in muay thai, once you clinch, knee him. Though some techniques in this vidoe are actually useful.
panantukan has muay thai techniques in it... it's mix art..western boxing, muay thai plus ground fight and of course...knife and weapons both stand up and ground fights...
Idk. I'm a Muay Thai practitioner and TKD blackbelt and I think this would blend pretty well with them. Plus I've seen some videos this in competition and in open style kickboxing against Muay Thai and Dutch kick boxing and it held it's own.
You know why this is bullshit? Because the best fighters in the world over and over and over again have fought(using all styles for many years now) and guess how man used this? 1 in 1 fight, Silva vs Bisping, and Silva lost lol.
That...doesn't prove anything at all. Panantukan was invented and designed in the streets. What some UFC or MMA blokes do with it doesn't matter since they're fighting in controlled environments where a lot of lethal techniques are restricted.
Yea by unanimous decision. Also, Silva plays/toys in the octagon a little too much. And yes, that doesn't prove anything at all because Silva doesn't just use Panuntukan alone, it's f*ckin MMA, he throws strikes from different arts in the fight too. Not a fan of Silva, but if he did use Panuntukan in the match alone during that fight, I might actually consider your argument valid.
@@omarabe26 The environment doesn't matter, i'm tired of these lame excuses from people how never fought in their life against trained fighters. They will get destroyed in the ring and outside of the ring, period. All those allegedly ''too dangerous'' techniques are not that dangerous if your opponent actually knows what he's doing. ''Too dangerous'' is simply coping and the only argument those guys have, deep down they know they can't fight but their egos don't allow to admit it. They also need to cope with the reality that they potentially ''learned'' something for years that was never effective, bascially wasted time.
@@kaen4299 Panatukan is literally dirty boxing. Boxing without rules. Shit the boxing scene is huge in the Philippines, anyway so I don't even know what you're trying to disprove, mate. Y'all think anything not popular in MMA is automatically useless which is a very linear mindset.
@@omarabe26 It's is absolutely not Boxing without rules. Boxing has it's own training methods and conditioning, and before anything else it has life sparring which most of the traditional martial arts, including this one, don't have. Using complicated techniques on ragdolls that don't show tension and resistance is not fighting. In this video, when A does a technique on B, B instantly loses his posture, his tension and doesn't do anything so A can do all his fancy stuff. In real life a Boxer would just evade, use his superior footwork and pull back his hands after a punch instead of letting them reached out for the other guy to do his 10 move combo on him. A trained fighters movement and body tension alone wouldn't allow for these techniques to work. This stuff might work on some untrained drunktards but not on a trained fighter.
im a filipino and im proud in filipino martial arts

I came here because of Anderson Silva
Me too. Never heard of Filipino boxing before.
Me, too! Lol 😂
Great clip. FYI. The word is "supposedly." Not "suppo-sably."
Does Filipino Boxing have throws like there are in Judo and Aikido?
waterhead001 search Dumog
Awesome
Why is this guy's pronunciations of "a" like Apple instead of like ah? He said Cali instead of kahli
how I get the videos
''kuckfilm'' lolol. Anwyay, good video.
What do I do if my opponent actually fights back and isn't moving in slow motion on purpose?
strike him with boxing... filipino boxing is primarily boxing and kicking first...trapping and lockings are just add ons in the fight...
good dvd
0:55 Bitch slap FTW

Very nice introduction to the art. I'm glad you know the difference between W.C & FMA. Same smell, different flavor basically.

It's an instructional DVD. Just TH-cam some videos and you can find it in kickboxing tournaments and Panantukan competitions
puro banyaga n ang nag tuturo at nag papalawak ng sariling martial arts ng pilipinas
It's panuntukan not panantukan....

Panantukan is originated in visayas region it is known as pangamot
Doesnt work on a live person
You try and you will know what you have said hahahaha peace!!!!

Hahaha it's not fma it's for killing try 1 punch and if your lucky you'll wake up in the hospital
That's a BS. Too many ineffective movements. Muai Thai looks much more efficient.
