This is an excellent video and tank guide. I learned a lot and can't wait to jump in to try this. Plz do more. Anytime i search for a guide for a dungeon, i always get quazii or someone, which are great guides, but this style of guide is the best I've ever watched, and im looking forward to more
I just came back to retail after quitting in Warlords of Draenor and playing WoTLK ever since. I decided to play monk for the first time ever and just now looking at the brewmaster spec. Never did M+ before so it is taking a bit of courage but I'm looking forward to tanking after watching your videos!
any tip on how to group up all of these casters? i use rop and then run around like a headless chicken trying to kick and grab aggro only to lose aggro of the others is the only option LOS?
IMO vivify should be used whenever you receive the vivacious vivification buff (instant cast vivify) whether on yourself or an ally. Expel Harm is best used as an emergency heal when you have many orbs around you, the healing from a 5 orb cast Expel is pretty significant and probably worth not spamming to build up that bigger cast.
I think the basis of it is that Keg Smash reduces cool-downs on brews by 3 secs and Tiger palm reduces it by 1 second. If you blackout kick then Keg Smash I think it’s an additional 2 secs so that’s 5 seconds in total. Also you have Talents like Anvil and Stave which reduce cool-downs on your brews by an additional 0.5 secs after a successful dodge. If I have any of the above information wrong or anyone wants to add anything feel free to :)
Does the blackout kick purify brew generate more stacks of purified chi? I’ve tried multiple times but it just stops at 10 stacks? Is there a talent I’m not using?
Blackout Kick empowers Purify Brew to pause Stagger damage for 3 seconds via Blackout Combo. Celestial Brew, empowered by Blackout Combo, adds an extra 3 additional stacks Purified Chi, but that caps at 10.
@@traceofwind So basically after I use Blackout kick then PB, I’ll get more purified chi and a bigger shield even though purified is capped at 10? How do I use it then? Do I have to Use Blackout kick THEN CB?? I’m sorry if I just went around in circles just trying to get an understanding of it 😭😭
@@Mikesart98 Blackout Kick > PB pauses Stagger for 3 seconds. Blackout Kick > CB is what gives you the additional stacks on the CB cast. For example, I have 4 stacks of Purified Chi (PC). If I then BK > PB, I am now at 5 stacks of Purified Chi; if I now cast CB, it will be scaled to 5 stacks of Purified Chi; however, if I cast BK > CB, the CB would be scaled to 5+3 = 8 stacks of Purified Chi. AFAIK, CB caps at 10 stacks of Purified Chi. I have never played in all of my years of Brew as aiming to go over cap. If you are sitting on 8-10 stacks then it is probably a good time to CB. It is not however a big problem if you over cap your CB via the Blackout Combo mechanic. In play, if you can cast CB informed by your Purified Chi stacks, you are golden. I have a lovely custom Weak Aura to track mine, which I can share here if you need. Though I believe Sha had his listed on Discord.
@@itstoxicqt the footage does not need to be 1080p, aslong as it rendered in this quality youtube will say it is 1080p. For me it looks like it is recorded in 1080 but with a low bitrate and this is why it gets blurry on movement. Just compare the videos to other videos and you will the see difference

Lots of great info. Thanks for the vod
Such a good commentary..! And playstyle ofc. Thanks :)

Where do I find that weak aura or add-on you have that shows the dungeon mechanics on the line?
is your weakaura hud free? where can i get
I think the casted Kegsmash has normal threat imo, its the kegsmash that procs from using brews might not have a threat multiplier

Maybe going Brewmaster since we lack a tank in my group of friends I play with. How often do you use Expel Harm and instant Vivify?

Hello, please do you have your weak auras somewhere?
a link to that side panel WA or addon will be fantastic thank you./
New to Brewmaster Monk. Not understanding how you always have Purifying Brew up. What am I missing? Is it a combo with Blackout Kick?

@@Mikesart98 Thank you!
Do you use an automarker or are you hotkey marking all this stuff
It's an Auto Marker Weak Aura.

This hurt to watch as an rsham. Staring at wall and ascendance sitting off cd all dungeon.
great video, learned alot! but the quality of the video is not 1080p :D maybe you can improve that, would be more nice to look at
It was uploaded in 1080p HD. Might be on your end? Glad you enjoyed the information!
It takes youtube a while to decode the video to its original definition.
if you watch it right when it uploads yt is still processing the video it takes a min

Count of this dungeon is kinda crappy. Can't get the Vers buff without going way over count on unskippable packs unless you have shroud.
@devlin1991 you only go 2% over and it's because one of the final jobs is worth 3ish %
Definitely worth the 10% damage gain from the vers buff
