Yes, with Atari buying out the brand, you should see more of that Hardcore Gamer Retro goodness you wanted instead of that family friendly stuff. I totally get it. Totally cool and amazing. Fans from Retroheads, pre-Crash gamers, even Intellivision Hardcores should find absolute delight in all this.
I wasn't confident Retro customers would be enough to support an Intellivision platform long-term, hence my support for a different market, but with the Atari name things have changed in a real hurry.

Ya this is huge news. I really hope all things work out best for Intellivision and Amico. At least the Amico will keep going on its own and its not over.

@@LelandReview Yes indeed my friend. This looks amazing.
And, yes, Amico is one step closer to releasing the controllers now. They don't need a console, and this setup is great for Amico to fully pursue its market without confusion.

Last I checked the Blue Sky Rangers were created out of Intellivision Productions when Intellivision Entertainment was born. So, given that, any Amico platform should indeed be an Intellivision platform in every way.

Ya it does feel we now have two Intellivision divisions. One partnered with Atari for hardcore gamers. And another division ( BSR) focusing on everyone else. Not a bad thing overall.

@@LelandReview Exactly my thoughts too. The Intellivision brand and Amico have somehow differentiated to each create their legacy. This will be hot.

Do you think Atari buying Intellivision was good or bad news ?
