for anyone thinking about getting into this work, i've been doing this work for 17 yrs. her route is much simpler than anything i've encountered. My experience involves many more departments and many more process. also heavy lifting. It is interesting to see the work from a new yorkers perspective. I wish I would've had routes that easy. I worked for Quest for a number of years and our routes were pretty nuts, also alot more hands on with lab specimens, labeling and packaging for return to hub etc. One thing I did notice is that route difficulty increased tenfold just prior to my beginning at the company, according to other employees. Company was very fun to work for, and then suddenly it wasn't. Apparently corporate lost all interest in keeping the job quality of life tolerable. By the time I started, they were pushing some 150+ route stops a day, not including driver transfers and emergency pickups. I might sign up for this type of gig-based assignments but I don't think I'd ever go back to a full time large scale operation again. Quest, for example, lost any care they may have once had for their logistics team well-being.

I never was paid hourly for medical delivery jobs especially since you're using your own vehicle.
