Harry Hill is one of the funniest comics I've ever seen live. Utterly bonkers and silly, but after twenty minutes I was bent double crying with laughter!
Yes I too saw the interview with bob mortimer by Sally Philips. ... and yes I was intrigued but did not look for this one... oh no.. I found it in my home page collection. I'm not sure that I found it as funny as she did.
I heard Harry Hill talking about performing this and it went badly only Harry Hill could even do a ridiculous story like this God I love him he is hysterical 😂
@@brianm2881 It was a nice line, but the routine didn't _need_ it to be funny. A punchline (for me) is by definition, a necessity. If anything _'If you want to get something done in this country...'_ at the end of The Dead Parrot Sketch is an _anti punchline,_ for instance. I like lines, I like punch lines and I occasionally like anti punch lines. Which is better? There's only one way to find out! I liked your comment, but only as part of an interesting discussion!
Throw-back to a joke from about fifteen minutes earlier: "I was on the first date with my girlfriend, Jean (Three), and I got the sense that she was always thinking about other guys. Found her in bed with all seven Doctor Whos. She said, yeah, well, technically, it's only one guy."
I just watched the full set (simply titled "Harry Hill - Live") The whole set is highly eclectic, with Hill holding many trains of thought on the backburner while continuously adding more trains and jumping frantically between them with no warning. It's a remarkable feat of absurdist wit and he makes it look easy, albeit rather loopy.
@@PsyMongazoid God, I love him. Not the best material here but I just think he's one of the best stand ups, well under rated. Horses for courses I guess.
Anyone get this in their recommended after watching bob mortimers favourite sketches? These computer things are clever eh...
scary that mate i wondered why it came up bloody clever
Yes. Shit. YT is our God.
Very clever. Id imagine a lot of people immediately went to that sketch after the video and youtubes algorithms picked up on it.
I did. I thought it was just a coincidence until now.
Yes.

he should have let it go on for about 2 hours
Sally Phillips sent me here.
I think Google analytics sent me, but I was curious after seeing Sally and Bob :)

This is Harry’s skill. Turning nonsense into a joke. No one else could take the stage and make this work expect for him
The funniest bit is that neither shop sold beds
I like the bit where he says beds.
I like the other bit
I heard Harry Hill talking about performing this and it went badly only Harry Hill could even do a ridiculous story like this God I love him he is hysterical 😂
I feel sorry for people who don't get it/ hate it. They have no silly bone
The best part was when he said beds.
Doesn't need a punchline. Just hilarious to watch the madness of it.
I think the deadpan "...ridiculous situation to get into." is basically a punchline. At the very least, it neatly ends the routine with a laugh.
You won’t get the last like without seeing the rest of the show

@@trefwoordpunk2225 What did he say at the end, I was wondering.
Bedge bedge bedge
Tbf first time i heard this i was expecting one of them to say.. and sofas. Or something similar at the end.
Or a.. "so he gave up and sold up"
I think when he talks about Tom Baker, it will refer to a gag earlier in the show.
Will Ford he caught his wife in bed with all 7 actors who had played doctor who - she said ‘technically it was only one man’

This is secretly his Tourette’s- he’s actually saying bitch half the time 😂
I didn’t see that bit?
I never realised beds was a funny word until I saw this 😂 legend
Those are some serious shoes.
it's the people at the yellow pages I feel sorry for.
This is hilarious.
he's a qualified doctor you know
i'd love for him to perform surgery on me one day

Rt sent me here
Yep! Scary.
Spej spej spej spej
Should've ended with "and the other guy took all his signs down and is now just beds beds beds"
orange man bad
about as funny as a boil on the arse
That was not even remotely funny
Always thought this guy was overrated
Sadly no punchline
Sadly, this reflects the state of humour nowadays.
Or twenty years ago...
@@megadaveaction Ha, yeah. Hasn't improved noticeably since.
