- On this adventure I headed out with a 25 knot head wind, had to land in 20+ knots of wind for my first stop to refuel. Landed in a few lakes to keep dumping gas cans in the wings. after a long day of flying i realized with the hour time change I would be landing in the Ohio River after dark. (not Recommended )

That is the issue with straight floats. If there are no seaplane bases you are stuck.

man i wish i got some better footage, the only footage i had was mostly unusable... it was to dark

yeah i went there unplanned and it was a great time. it was actually a great event. much bigger than i had imagined
Why not go amphibian? It expensive but its worth it imo
As much as i wanted to, i do air tours in a 172 if i went amphibian i would loose 130 pounds of useful load, turning my airplane into a 3 seater. so it just didn't work out
