The story of Esther is complicated and difficult for youth to follow, and me too, really. Thank you for creating this video! The art is simplistic, and clever and subtle to tell this story, and also entertaining. Your storytelling helped me to keep track of the characters and story, unlike other telling. The narrator is perfect!. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! I will use it tomorrow in my Sunday School class!
First of all, I have to pause this vivideo just to make a comment... I like the way you explained the story right from the start and I know it is going to be an amazing story...thank you and god bless... now go back to where I left off...
Lovely! Even though Mordecai was her cousin he is described as a “fatherly /uncle like figure” however this was beautifully presented and very clear for all ages. I have to say Esther is one of my favorites she was brave, but pure at heart, go girl!❣️
I jus listened to this book in the kjv bible and didn't understand it so I had to look up a video to have it explained to me and you explained it very well thank you
This was possibly the clearest telling of the story of Esther I found on TH-cam. I thought in the Megillah that the king's name was different though. Not Xerxes but soething longer.
Im from iran (persia)and his real name in persian language is king khashayar .in bible is ahasuerus from achmanei .his grave is in shiraz city and near to persepolise
Thank you for your retelling of a story in the Bible. Thanks also for the spotlight on the patriarchy of the time. There are two points that are slightly off that can make a difference in how we understand motivations and the state of one’s heart. Mordecai did not "beg" Esther rather boldy challenged her to risk her death and warned if she didn't, not to think she'd be safe from the annihilation either. Haman begged the queen to save him. And the queen pleaded with the king to save her people. But Mordecai and Esther both seemed to act deliberately, with sorrow for their people, and concern beyond themselves. Esther did not, "after much fasting and praying" decide to go to the king. It clearly says in (NIV) Esther 4:15-on that she told Mordecai to have the people fast and pray and - then - she would go to the king. Her monumental decision was already made. Had she prayed and fasted prior to responding to Mordecai - most likely. It's a small but mighty difference; Esther, her attendants, and the Jewish people were fasting and praying because she was going to take this bold step - not - to help her decide. Which changes the focus of what they'd have been praying for (most likely). I know these are small but they become bigger when looking at motivations of the heart, and being as close to the modern translation of ancient texts.
One of most displeasing behavior we show to our all Great Yeshua is being disrespectful towards our spouse.... Yeshua will never tolerate any disrespectful (esp imposter) behavior of a woman towards her husband esp if he belongs to Him.... Same goes with man... Esther (favoured) honored God and her husband.... All honor belongs to Yeshua...
This was excellent! Can you please make more videos like this highlighting more characters in the bible? Joseph, David, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, etc.
Kinda skipped the details of the end where the decree of the king was that the Jews could specifically defend themselves with the kings support, rather than be just outright slaughtered. ^^;
The presenter is excellent. Clear voice. Smooth delivery. Varies tone appropriately. As for content: The description of how Haman influenced the king to issue the decree (3:05 - 3::12) is lacking a critical detail: See Esther Chapter 3 verse 9 where it clearly states that at least one aspect of Haman's "influence" was a *substantial* cash payment. This warped morality that allowed for Haman's legalized hate (systemic racism??) should not be overlooked.
Exxcellent - very well told and great diagrams. Just one small correction which I hope you don't mind me pointing out - Mordechai was Esther's cousin, not her uncle! See Esther 2:7
Esther 2:7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Ester, the bat of his dod (uncle). Very clear Mordecai's uncle had a daughter (bat) named Ester making Ester and Mordecai cousins. Dod means uncle but even if dod meant cousin it would still be the daughter of his cousin still making them cousins.
not that I think you'll get this (because you wrote this comment 5 years ago) but I believe that different bibles say different things. Don't quote me on it though!!!
wonderful Abraham and esther and , Sarah, Isaac, Jacob .nimrod Belongs as too iraq in Babylon all people earth Belongs as great and all people should see gret civilization iraq thanks to you very great thanks to you
May I ask your opinion? According to Esther at 4:11 "approaching the king" was a very dangerous thing to do. How, then did Esther inform the king of the plot to kill him at 2:22? ( I think I might be able to explain this.)
As others have said, Mordecai was Esther's cousin. Mind you, my older cousin visited me. He took me to see some of his friends and said to them, "Meet my niece!"
The Hebrews were back in Jerusalem well before 470 BC. Cyrus granted them permission to return home in 538 BC. The Persians do not even fixture in the history of the Babylonian Captivity.
I’m teaching a class on Esther next month and want to be factual. You say the party was one week but I thought it was a 6 month feast. Can you clarify? Great video, thanks.
We're both right, actually! If you look in verse 1:5 it refers to a seven day banquet held for all the people in the citadel. But you're right in that it happened after a feast lasting 180 days. In retrospect, I probably should have gone with the longer number. If you haven't seen the Bible Project's videos, they are excellent as well and might help your class. th-cam.com/video/JydNSlufRIs/w-d-xo.html
The king was actually throwing two parties, one following on the heels of the other, and lasting all of 187 days. The lengthier of the two feasts was given to impress the aristocrats, the military powers and bureaucrats of the empire. The second feast lasting seven days included the common people with the aim of securing their loyalty.
I just honestly don't understand how people can dislike something like this... May God bless all of the people who have!!!
This presenter is absolutely magnificent You can appreciate her subtle sense of humor as she tells the tale Many thankd
Beautiful and easy version to understand the story of Esther thank you 😊

esther is a good story
The pastor told this story on Sunday and it was difficult to follow along. I came here for clarification and now I understand much more clearly
The story of Esther never fails to prove the point of Genesis 12:3.
I love this little cartoon it’s too cute and funnyyy😂😂😍
Amen 🙏🕊️🕯️🛐✝️

This is factually in accurate the Jews were freed and moved from Babylon after eberkenseser and the fall of babel
Great
awesome
The 90 thumbs down are all Haman's relatives.
Exxcellent - very well told and great diagrams. Just one small correction which I hope you don't mind me pointing out - Mordechai was Esther's cousin, not her uncle! See Esther 2:7
I'm open to correction but I think the Hebrew is ambiguous and can mean either uncle or cousin.
Thanks for sharing. A simple and fun way to hear a crash course of the story of Esther. Great for the little ones with a short attention span hehe :-)
+Trina L. i see totoro
Wasn't Mordecai her cousin? Not her uncle?
Jeana Stanford correct her cousin. Not her uncle
Modecai was her uncle and she was his cousin
He was but she called him Uncle.
True
not that I think you'll get this (because you wrote this comment 5 years ago) but I believe that different bibles say different things. Don't quote me on it though!!!
esther and moredicai were cousins
I love it!
Beautifully presented but the most important plot element was left out - the casting of lots.
Thank you
wonderful Abraham and esther and , Sarah, Isaac, Jacob .nimrod Belongs as too iraq in Babylon all people earth Belongs as great and all people should see gret civilization iraq thanks to you very great thanks to you
He set up an impaling pole not a noose
The original Hebrew scripture it is a gallows.
Imagine being the wife of the queen only to immediately lose your status because you refused to come out in a party.
😂😂😂

Hey, excellent expression. Concise n right pace for thinking! Well done. Where can i find more clips ?? Thank u.

When was the book written-
Happy Purim
As others have said, Mordecai was Esther's cousin. Mind you, my older cousin visited me. He took me to see some of his friends and said to them, "Meet my niece!"
That is awsome
The Hebrews were back in Jerusalem well before 470 BC. Cyrus granted them permission to return home in 538 BC. The Persians do not even fixture in the history of the Babylonian Captivity.
in the play version merdecai and esther are cousins.
Mordecai is not Esther's uncle.. mordecai is Esther's cousin
Yes Mordecai was his cousin .. he nursed her, as Esther was an orphan .. Esther 2: 6-7
Esther 2:8 (Esther was "taken". It was not a voluntary beauty contest.)
MY NAME IS ESTHER!!!

SecondLookFIlms great thanks so much for clarifying
Didn't the feast last 180 days?
no it didn't only seven
Feast, not fast.
The king was actually throwing two parties, one following on the heels of the other, and lasting all of 187 days. The lengthier of the two feasts was given to impress the aristocrats, the military powers and bureaucrats of the empire. The second feast lasting seven days included the common people with the aim of securing their loyalty.
Thank you Edith I will examine it again, maybe the 7 day feast was during the 180 day feast?
why is it paper kind
is this me because my name is Esther
Is that true
I thought Esther was a kid in the movie? Not a queen
