VW California Ocean: Off-Grid Camping in The New Forest with AllPowers R600 Solar Generator.
Off grid and need to charge our laptop, no problem for us with our Allpowers R600 Solar Genarator.
We have been asked to see what we think of the Allpowers r600 with solar and too be honest we couldn't say no as a power station as been on our wishlist for awhile. We wanted a back up for our VW California should we be without electric hook up, mostly charging macbook or laptop.

don’t forget some Californias have a built-in inverter that runs off the leisure batteries mine is on the lower-left side of the driver’s seat. And you can easily connect a portable solar panel to charge your leisure batteries.

Thanks mark, yes agree. Too be honest for us we tend to stay away from the built-in inverter. Useful info though and especislly on the solar panel. 😊👍🏻

Looks great. Thank you for the review. Do you know if it’s also possible to hook up the solar panels to provide some charge to the leisure battery at the back of the Cali? We are just considering putting a fixed panel on the roof which we know can connect up to both leisure batteries and a separate power unit, but the portable panels do have certain advantages over fixed ones. 😊

Hey 🙌🏻 thanks for watching. 😊 we don't think so, it's not something we'd try, I've seen that putting solar on the roof involves holes and opening up boxes #scared. Portable is good for us, if it;s sunny now we have the panels and can put them in minutes. Let us know how you get on 😊

Appreciate your test on portable solar, neat panels. It's more efficient charging the laptops via the USB rather than wasting energy converting 12vdc to 230vac and back down again via the adaptor. What is the output of the power station inverter?

thank you for watching. We can only charge our macbooks by using plugs, so this power staion is ideal. I'm not sure on the output.
