    Nice conversion George. DCC ready makes things a lot easier. Back in November I converted a pair of older Athearn Genesis yellow box SD75M diesels (BNSF H2) using the TSU-PNP deocders because these didn't have any DCC interface on the light boards. I also used your 28 mm speakers as well, but I screwed them in because I didn't know about your adhesive gaskets (that would have made this conversion, plus the conversions of a FP45 and a SD45-2, easier).
    Watching the video it looks like you have some new material for the next blooper video.

    Does the Acela have Sound ready

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not necessarily ‘sound ready’ but it is DCC ready with a NMRA 8-pin plug. On the diagram, I do not see a speaker port, but the diagram on their website is on the original release of this model many years ago, before sound was so prominent in the hobby, so they may have added a speaker port on the latest run, but I do not have that diagram to look at. I’d ask Bachmann to be sure, but if not, then it can be made for sound, but there likely could be some milling involved. (We have not looked at this model specifically to see what it would take for sound.)

    Be careful if you do use the screws to mount the speaker. One of the screws will hit the drive shaft if you go too far.
