I appreciate all of the comments and enthusiasm for these uploads. As a kid who got a cassette recorder for xmas in the early 70’s , it became my tradition of recording NYE and Guy Lombardo and not Dick Clark until right after the ball drop. Being dragged to NYE gatherings to relatives and friends houses didn’t stop me. I held the microphone up to the tv speaker and asked everyone to be quiet until midnight lol . I am having a hard time locating 75-76. I am trying to remember if I recorded it . Rest assured , if I find it , it will hit youtube. I can say that it was a big deal when 75 turned to 76 as it officially kicked off the bicentennial and Guy Lombardo led the nation in singing “Happy Birthday” right after Auld Lang Syne.

So much of Guy Lombardo’s New Years specials have now been lost to time, so when stuff like this comes up, it’s a real treat for those who are Guy Lombardo fans and for those who are interested in these specials. Thanks for these recordings, I hope you’d be able to locate more. I’m really appreciative for this and I’m sure many others are as well.
