Easy to forget the ridiculous scope of a project like this. I can't believe the amount of planning, work, and evaluation necessary to bring a coach build to life from an idea to reality. Another awesome installment!
Love at 15:55 - Ryan hammering car... Tony approaches looking skeptical... Ryan turns to Tony, they lock eyes... Ryan continues hammering (FULL eye contact). 🤣
Very impressed with the way you’ve shaped, cut and welded the rear quarter together. When it was all separate pieces I couldn’t imagine it all coming together and looking good. As we say in Ireland….fair play
Great video as usual Folks. When I was taught metal working back in the 1970's, I was taught to rub aluminium with ordinary soap before annealing. You heat the panel until the soap turns black, then you're done.
They are using a sharpie to do the same thing, watch earlier eps to see them doing that to the hard drawn tubing to make it workable. You just need a reference material that tells you the sheet has gotten to the right temp, you could use any oily product.
That back end looks so resolved, and super stylish too. Loving the way this is all ocoving together. I backed a winner whewn I started watching this TH-cam series way back when!
I watch a lot of automotive channels and it's easy to think "I can do this" after they've finished and make a thirty minute recap video. Following you two as you create this beast from basically a rolling chassis and I find myself thinking, "I am totally deluded to ever have thought I could do any of this". Thanks for keeping my expectations more realistic. 😏
Shirt idea: Scientific Process: Step 1: F*** Around Step 2: Find Out And on the back, “This isn’t what we discussed” Throw a shop logo on there whala, my pockets will be emptied and there’s nothing I can do about it
Every Sunday afternoon (time different to NZ and all that) I take a break from my own ali car to watch this. I am heeding your advice to not let 'perfect' stop progress so today I attached the rear skin to the timber frame. Could mine be better, yes, but it good enough for a replica 95 year old car, absolutely!
to anneel you can also use a bar of soap , when it turns black it's the right temp the problem with the marker pen is if you do not get it off propperly it can pull through the paint and you will see it when the car is painted !!!
I noticed the imbedding of iron particles into the underside of the aluminium panels at the start of the episode there. Not sure if this is going to be a problem later on or not though.
This is taking a painstakingly long time and is getting boring. Also, what's going to happen with the interior? Considering the time and effort spent on the body, the interior should be nothing less than complete luxury with all the bells and whistles. Somehow though, I think you're going to fall short. I guess we'll find out in a couple years.
Good points rimjob7168, I too hope they can't meet the unflinchingly rigid standards of some jackass rando on the internet. If you don't have something constructive to say, keep it to yourself rj. The only positive thing about your unthoughtful comments are that maybe the algorithm treats it as "engagement" for advertising rankings.

Having "aluminium" and "aluminum" in the same sentence is on another level. The build is great too.
I've followed this build for quite a while now and I'm just blown away by the skills you guys have! Amazing work, for sure! Keep it up! 🤘🤘
Thank you very much!
LOL I love Tony expounding on the shape library just weeks after he found out that it exists. 😆
You guys are artists! This car is going to be beautiful!
Thanks guys! I enjoy watching you two guys smashing things. Thanks Ray

I could imagine a triangular piece of sheet with dimples (dimple die holes) in the middle of the struts Tony made next to the seats. Just a thought ❤

The best channel on TH-cam
Currently one of my favorite projects on TH-cam!
Merry Christmas to all of you
Love you are keeping the English wheel skill alive!

Your videos are one of the things I look forward to each week. Cars, fabrication, tips, entertainment. You guys check all the boxes.
Every week jigsaw is looking more and more like a PROPER supercar!
love seeing the pieces come together. makes it seem like a really massive step forward
i love how the big panel looks
Love this build, thanks for sharing

😏
This is looking great. 1 step at a time.
It's coming together!! :D
awesome work! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
You need to make a Mad Max/ Deathrace armadillo. That would be sweet, rivets and exposed seams.
You guys are just super talented, I just love this channel so much

Hell yeah! I’d buy one!
I can't wait to see how this turns out, fed up of seeing other people makes cars out of fibre glass and body filler, keep up the amazing work 😀

Good morning gentlemen!
Oh that's wild
42, the meaning of life!
The Answer!

Aluminium! 🎉
Annealing is very much material dependent. Some materials, like copper, can be force cooled and then worked cold with a hammer on the anvil.
Please add a simple chop saw with a metal blade for those angle tube cuts, just for the time savings.
Nice Work. Merry Christmas & Happy New Years 2025.

You guys and mike from corn field customs should get together, both are great metal workers.

Why not Sharpie markers?
Hey Ryan could you please pronounce the H in words like “wheel” not a big deal but I’m sure it will bother Tony a lot hearing wa-heel.😂
They say the last 20% takes 80% of the time
I'm 44. I just got bifocals fitted for my work safety glasses. It's gonna happen to you. 20:14
Well done gentleman. What's the blue spray? Just kidding. :-D
*insert Michael Scoot saying "don't" gif here*
FAFO!!!!🎉
a Volkswagen armadillo
69 💪🏻🇺🇸🍻👏🏻
I feel like the "style" of the front fender does not match the rear now. The front fender has a harder edge, and you've got the armadillo on the back.
Write a hidden 69 somewhere on the car and note how long tony takes to see and remove it
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Dudes.... Is it me, or is jigsaw starting to look sexy?
5:00 if anyone is going to visit the UK please do not use the phrase "flange time"
Who is going to daily this??
Like the video but the music is absolutely terrible
Dude, when you pronounce aluminum two different ways in the same sentence, you're trying too hard :P
I must correct you on your definition of the scientific theory. First you must postulate a theory AND then you f around and find out.
If you're welding the impossible, then it's not impossible.... 👎
The rear isn't right at all. Too bulbous 😅
The older guy really can not weld worth a crap. For somebody that's suppose to be a professional what he builds and welds looks like shit.

Post your channel so we can see how quickly your 60s inspired super car is coming along.
