DSD basically turns you into a man without your package. Intersex seems like an unfair advantage imo. Plus she's is disqualified from the Boxing federation for life because of the advantages.
I looked up intersex. Everything in development that can go wrong is listed as birth defect except that, why? What to do except see where your chromosomes and hormones take you. Science and medicine is to blame for this. Governments skipped intersex to fund children's sex changes. Same goes for technological neuroscience enhancements, what does that do for schizophrenia? What is the agenda here? It's all wrong.
Thats the same Boxing federation banned from the Olympic committee for corruption. If its such an unfair advantage how some she has been beaten by women in competition?
@@zivkovicable if you're a professional and want to keep a low profile it's pretty obvious you need to lose a few bouts to go take the gold, see how it was a complete non issue at the olympics?
@@iluvyunie They're not professional. There is no advantage to losing in an amateur knock out tournament...I can see you don't know anything about boxing.
She's not banned, and there's no evidence that she has DSD or even high testosterone. There is evidence that she has honed her body to be a boxer, and has lost a lot of body fat. She's built to fight, not to conform to your Western expectations of what women should look like. The IBA disqualified her for failing tests, which they never published. It was he IBA who were banned for corruption, not Imane. I bet you probably have some weird thoughts about athletes like Gabi Garcia and the female rugby star, Maher. Imane Khelif is about to litigate, so maybe we will be presented more evidence. Until then, I think you're whistling in the dark. And remember that the word "man" refers to gender, while the word "male" refers to sex.
The internet is allergic to nuance. Thank you for providing a video that provides a balanced perspective good sir.
One of the most balanced videos I’ve seen on this subject, I think people need to ensure they have the facts before stating something as a fact.
Agreed
I truly appreciate and love this comment. I am trying to bring balanced nuanced discussions to this platform, so hearing someone say exactly that just made my entire day. Thank you, thank you. I hope to see your name more in my comments :)
We should have had these arguments during the Riley Gaines/Lea Thomas competition. There is/was no plausible deniability there. It was a straight up male vs female event. Riley was treated much worse than Imane by any measure.
I feel bad for both boxers.
@@whitehurstcomic agreed!
Riley was treated worse than Imane?😅
@@SuperKripkeYes, she came in second to a tranny that placed ranked 440 something as a man. The narrative hates strait white people.
@@SuperKripke Was Imane ever chased into a room and held hostage? If not, yes.
@@whitehurstcomic Yeah I must have missed the part where she was "held hostage". Must have required a daring rescue or hefty ransom to secure her release.
Riley put herself into the spotlight after being a sore loser. She's just like Angela Carini who sees more bucks in crying about fabricated culture issues than win at their sport. Imane is a winner and will go for gold despite the abuse she has received just for being the best she can be.
In biology there are XX and XY, XX female, XY male. Not hard
Thank you
There are other variants, so it is very hard for some people, when people who have not studied in the field, says there's only XX, and XY. Apparently it's more complex than that, although that seems to be a baseline. I was ignorant, too, but I recently watched a biologist explain the other anomalies. I have no idea about the actual science, other than the fact that most of us are working with limited information.
@Unknowntyper, It isn't as simple as that. Let me ask you this. If a person is born with XY chromosome but without a penis. That person has a vagina. Wouldn't you say that person is a girl? It is not like you DNA test every child that is born. Second. IF this was the first Olympic games. Back before DNA testing. How would people determine if you are man or woman. P.S. Spoilers. They would look at your physical appearance.
@@jimiewilliams7623 I am a biologist. Really.
XXX and XXY are trisomy situations... XXX is XX(Female) with extra X (Triple X), XXY is XY(Male) with extra X (Klinefelter Syndrome). So "typically" XX or XY.
Swyer Syndrome is XY (MALE) with a messed Y (Sry) chromosome resulting in female-like external characteristics.
Now this might also include a uterus, and with modern medical intervention, you can get it to work (gestate). But these people do undergo puberty without intervention, and do not produce gametes etc.
More importantly is that the Y chromosome is not benign, and it lays a foundation for other physiological compositions, beyond a penis or simply more testosterone; that true genetic females (XX, or XXX, or XX with extra testosterone, or XX + got the good genes) might ought not face in fighting tournaments.
Who put biology
It looks like a Domestic to me, not a boxing match. It isn't a normal boxing match.
th-cam.com/video/_BBiK6-xxoo/w-d-xo.html
Does it look so unfair?
The amount of time that went into researching how we work as humans and animals. And people think their feelings can change anything. A man is a man. A woman is a woman. There is no switching sides, there is no inbetween. It doesn't need a ted talk.
"we have to prioritize truthfull information"
then he goes on explaining how XY is not a male ...
omfg
There are cases which can affect people who by all means are born female, which has them with XY chromosomes, as the creator stated. I think he’s just trying to provide context. This is the case with Imane. It’s not as straight forward as 99% of cases.
she is not xy the only source that say she is xy is the iba and the iba tested her in 2022 and found no porblem with her adn she only was disqualified after beating an Undefeated russian boxer in 2023
plus stop calling people born with vegina "male' there have being history of people born xy with female reproductive organs given birth. trun out if the y chromosomes is inactive you get a female since all you have left is the X chromosome.
Not sure you watched the entire video, but I appreciate your input.
My gripe here is that people have been super quick to judge and label a situation that seems far from straight forward. From what we know it sounds like Imane was for all intensive purposes supposed to be born fully female, but might have had a genetic mutation.
For the record, if Imane has certain advantages biologically I am all for Imane being disqualified or removed. I wish a lot of this had been sorted out prior to the Olympics. Thank you for the comment :)
IBA bla bla bla
We have thousand of years of biology bro,
IT IS A MAN
Well, publish a paper on it, if you're such an expert on sex, gender and chromosomes. By the way, the word "man" refers to gender, and the word "male" refers to sex. They're two different things, and if you don't know that, you don't know biology, bro.
It is not true that they found no problem with him in 2022. The event was in Istanbul and his test showed chromosome xy, but because it was done late, the organisers were unable to disqualify Khalif. The following year (in New Delhi), they did the test just before the competition, and it was xy again. This time he was disqualified. The Turks could have taken the initiative to disqualify Khalif from the Paris Olympics on the basis of the 2022 test, but they were unsuccessful, unfortunately.
Thank you for the additional information!
@@LifeoftigerYT Thank you for your reply.
So what do you propose? Elon censor content on the platform? A simple gender test would clear things up... but that now is apparently degrading.
the problem is not gender the problem is about sex.
if you keep talking gender the im offended people will continue to be offended.
its being said everywhere gender is not physical so lets not use it in sport...
@@eranbraun2 Agreed. It should be called a biological sex test.
No not at all. Also, for the record I am all in favor of having tests done, and if it turns out that Imane has biological advantages that are deemed unfair I am perfectly fine with there being a disqualification. As far as X goes I am just seeing a very disturbing trend where accounts know that even if they lie, the engagement is worth it. Something we need to deter. Thank you for your comment!
@@LifeoftigerYT I've always viewed Twitter/X as a bit of a cesspool of information. I tend to stick to following trustworthy accounts. But I see where you are coming from... many people are easily influenced by false information. Thanks for the reply.
@@Bill-ni3es Definitely! I love creating a discussion, which clearly this video did. So thank you for your input. Curious, where do you get your information from? Do you feel any social medias are more trustworthy over others?
bro HE HAS XY CHROMOSOMES
No evidence of that. But maybe I'm ignorant of some facts, so would you give me a citation, other than some talking head saying so. I've looked and so far I can't find any medical records or a disclosed test.
Says who? Whoever it was, they haven't provided any proof, the evidence is "confidential" for some reason.
She is a she. born female
u should get ur head out of ur a s s, n see the reality this woman is a women and what u claiming isnt fact is bullshit, with ur kind even if u see her pregnant u still doubt her , because ur sheep
@@uma.n2680 Two separate sex verification tests were done in credited labs, one in 2022 and the other in 2023, results revealed Imane (and another athlethe) had XY chromosomes and they were disqualified from competing in Istanbul and India due these results. Neither of them contested the results.
If you have already been shown to have chromosome XY in two previous world competitions, you should not compete in another women's competition. If you do, you are being dishonest person - a nothing. Chromosome XY means male in boxing - it's as simple as that.
If Imane has unfair biological advantage then I’m totally on board with banning her. Just wanted to point out that it’s a very interesting situation and that there’s been a lot of interesting information out there. Appreciate you watching!
As an Algerian thanks for telling the truth
It must be rough there with women like that.

Thank you for providing context Tiger. This is why I follow this channel.
Thank you! I am trying to bring some balance to this platform. I don't want to be a creator who panders to a certain political side just because its popular.
Good video. I will try my best to address multiple of your points, hope you take the time to read it.
1 - I am also a community note writer - the reason they are not appearing yet is because community notes themselves are having a full-on war because the topic is so controversial. A note has to be agreed on by people with different views in order for it to appear to everyone.
2 - Different sources claim different stuff about Imane Khelif. I personally do not know which are reliable and true. What I do know is this: The childhood pictures proved that she definitely lived as a woman her entire life. Because in Algeria legal sex change is illegal, the fact her legal sex is female means she was born female. She would not have had the ability to change it legally.
3 - What bothers me most is how hateful people are. Even if Imane Khelif has huge unfair advantages or XY chromosomes. You can talk about those unfair advantages. But why call her a man? Why he/him? This is just plain unnecessary disrespect towards a human being. She joined the competition following official guidelines. She broke no rules. If people have issues with her having unfair advantages, take it with IOC, not her. Hating on her, calling her a man when she clearly lives as a woman, is just a bad faith way to argue. Why? Because it's a lot more rage-inducing saying "you support men beating women?" than "you support woman with unfair advantages beating women?" -- obviously the hateful people will prefer the earlier version.
4 - IOC guidelines on fairness have been posted since 2021 and they take into account possible unfair advantages from sex variance. This is why trans women are not allowed to compete in women's league if they had transitioned after puberty. Because that would give them irreversible advantages caused by Testosterone. Guidelines also state that if evidence is provided someone has disproportionate advantage, they would be excluded. Given that Imane is still competing, I guess such evidence has not been presented yet. Either that or IOC is not enforcing their own rules - either way, it's the IOC's fault, not Imane's.
5 - The Italian boxer actually apologized later on. She was just too emotional at that time. She apologized to Imane for reacting the way she did.
6 - Imane Khelif has lost many times to women in other boxing competitions. One of those women she lost to is Amy Broadhurst. Amy Broadhurst is actually supporting Imane on twitter and is saddened by all the haters. So does Imane really have unfair advantage for women? I don't know, if you ask me it looks like she has good competition in women's league.
7 - The most controversial fact: People think that XY means male and XX means female. This is not accurate, this is only a generalization because it applies to majority of humans. In fact there are countless (20+) other combinations of sex chromosomes a person can have (XXY,XXX,..), but I digress. The reason why XY doesn't automatically equals male is because there are individuals out there that have XY chromosomes and have given birth! Yes, people with XY have given birth, both unassisted birth and assisted birth using IVF. Such a person is a female, by the very definition of female. A female is a person that gives birth, a male is a person that produces gametes. This is why sexes exist, they exist for reproduction. If a person can give birth, it's a female, plain and simple. Now you may ask... but wait? Doesn't that definition exclude infertile people? Yes, yes it does. Technically an infertile woman is incapable of performing the female role, and is therefore not female. But OBVIOUSLY that is ridiculously, so we use generalizations --- one such generalization is XX/XY -- the other one is simply looking at sex characteristics. If a person has most female sex characteristics, we assume it's a female. This way even infertile women are included, even women that had their uterus removed, etc etc
Now, whether Imane Khelif has XY or not, can give birth or not, I do not know. My point was to show that XY does NOT necessarily mean man. It can also be a woman. Fun fact, men can have XX too.
8 - Most importantly, chromosomes do not define advantages. Your physical characteristics do. These develop under influence of hormones with help of the genes. Genes are just instructions for body development, hormones actually do the "body building". A woman with XX chromosomes (like a trans man) can inject testosterone pre-puberty and develop MANY if not all male characteristics that give them unfair advantage over women. Now imagine they stop transitioning, their hormones would revert back to normal female ranges. HOWEVER some testosterone induced changes DO NOT REVERT. Such as deeper voice, wider shoulders, other bone changes, etc... such a detransitioned person would therefore have XX chromosomes with some male advantages. Just like trans women transitioning after puberty. Whether these advantages are big or small depends really on genes.... it's a case-by-case situation. But my point is - stop looking at chromosomes to determine if it's unfair. Look at physical characteristics of a person.
I don't have a good solution for this. Maybe we could introduce something similar to weight classes but would instead be testing these physical characteristics. Maybe an endurance or strength check? Who knows. My point is just to make people understand it's a complex topic
You wrote more there than I probably did in half of my school exams. Spending to much time online is unhealthy, you should go out more. "I am a community note writer" No, you're a sad cunt, but thanks for getting it in the first line, saved me a lot of reading.
I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to provide so much useful information and insight!
I think it's fascinating that you are a community notes contributor. I have heard about those internal wars within the community notes teams.
Imane certainly has a special case here and seeing so many people slander her and throw all sorts of slurs and hate her way because of how she was born truly saddens me.
I too am all for making the matches as balanced as they can be. If deemed that Imane has unfair biological advantages I am definitely not against the idea that she shouldn't be competing in these specific games. Thank you for the input! I feel as if a community note has been placed on my video lol.
@@LifeoftigerYT haha you give me too much credit.
@@CryShana not enough! a true gem on the internet
bud, XY Chromosomes. There is a reason it has become this big of an issue and people are outraged about it.
I can understand the frustration with prominent accounts rushing to be 'the first'. However, that's a benefit of X, it's one of the only places to get near real-time news - Since this was a developing story, it's normal for lies, exaggeration and misinformation to ferment there. It's the same with the mainstream sources, too. It always has been.
For the record, the fact she has XY chromosomes doesn't require a biology degree to understand. That's my only issue with this video - Please don't hide behind that, I've seen liberals do it countless times as a way of shutting down an argument without engaging with it.
Won't hide from it all. XX = Female, and XY = Male. There are rare cases where things like mutations occur and that's all I was trying to bring light to. Just trying to provide some context and balance to a discussion that I have seen get way out of hand. Also, not a liberal nor a conservative :) Thank you for your input!
I appreciate the rational thinking! (I wasn’t accusing you of being a liberal by the way, I was just mentioning the fact that they do this all the time)

@@LifeoftigerYTalso, after reading more into this - have you read about the athletic commission who originally banned her? It was apparently a Russian commission and the decision came shortly after she defeated a Russian… not sure how true it is but definitely adds to the drama!

Lets be honest, we live in times that we cant define women, many people will say if you have a penis (we dont know if the boxer does) you can still be a woman, so what does it even mean when they say he was born and raised as a woman? The only thing we can go by is chromosomes and now they are telling us thats irrelevant too?
The thread that I reference has full backing to everything that is discussed including citations. I mentioned that in the video :) Nobody is telling you that XY and XX are irrelevant. In very rare cases (which this is) where someone is born and has a genetic mutation I feel its important to point that out.
