    I was always told Its not so much to do with being a deadlier knife, i was always told that its because if done right you can open it faster then most other knives thus making it hard to defend against as 1 second they have no visible knife and the next they are coming at you with a knife that came out of no where. Now im not saying its the only reson but whenever i hear gravity knives being talked about thats the reason i hear like 90% of the time the other 10% is it being to dangerous for a regular person to open and its a liability concern from the manufacturer but i know that that is BS

  • @poipoi300

    Haven't seen any, but just in case someone makes the argument that these are easier to conceal that a fixed blade: They aren't. You can hide a fixed blade in your boots. You can hide it in your sleeves. You can put it in in a kitchen table and it won't look out of place. It can be in ordinary looking items like canes. Any knife that has any sort of action before use is worse than a fixed blade when it comes to speedy deployment. When it comes to concealment, the smaller it is, the easier. If you have to do an extra action above taking it out (or more) that just makes it less dangerous.

  • @Devious90210

    So for those who it's relevant to, living in Vic Australia. These would both be illegal here, being similar to a switch blade (retractable) or butterfly knife. It's illegal to carry a knife but that's a soft law if you're camping or have chefs knives for work or another relevant reason it's acceptable, just don't claim it's for self defence.
    But these would come under banned weapons, stupid or not it's illegal to possess them anywhere, you're going to jail for two years if you're found to own this.
    It always surprises me how many people don't know this.

  • @skateorhate
    @skateorhate ปีที่แล้ว

    I think its more likely because you can make them look like they arent weapons, static knives always have a visible blade while they aren’t. I still wish they wouldnt be illegal but these kinda details can possibly save someones live in case of a serious attack.
