Just watched the first three episodes and I'm already obessessed with the show ! The characters are very 3 dimensional. And the witches not only are horrifying, but each one is very unique. My favorite Magic Girl so far is Madoka's blue haired friend (I wished it was easier to learn japanese names). By the way. Girls who feel powerless somehow ? Technically, we already know the pet is manipulative. But if we didn't know, would that pattern be a red warning ? And, how much heartbreak and grief should I expect from this show ? I've got a bad feeling for that hospitalized boy. Something about wishes having their price.

There is only 1 season and around 12-13 episodes but you also have another serie in the same universe called Magia Record. I recommend watching it once you will finish the one you already started. Magia Record have 2 seasons of 12-13 episodes and have a 3rd season in the work if I'm not wrong 🤔

Even though I'm not sure how I would actually react if it happened to me, is it really so bad that their souls no longer inhabit their bodies, other than the fact that their human ego was hurt ? No, I'm not one of those cultists who believe we need to leave our bodies behind, and whatever temptations I might have had regarding it were extinguished the moment I watched "Serial Experiments Lain", which teaches the importance of our bodies, lives...but, although I would not like to see my soul turned to a piece of jewelry, at least I would still have a sense of identity and would want to experience the world.
Did you ever imagine a crossover between "Manhunt" (in case you know the game) and "Madoka Magica" ? Just imagine for a moment. A girl who is told by Kyubey that the evil behind Cancer city (the game's city) is all being caused by the witches. But as the story progresses, and the more time the girl spends with the protagonist, seeing how the city's evil was also caused by humans alone, there's a point in which she just gives up, and after Lionel's demise (the game's evil mastermind), she becomes a witch continuing on his job, and her executioner is none other than Kyoko, the girl who represents humanity's greed.
And I thought girl animes were especially friendly, with its occasional moments of heartbreak and inner struggle. This anime proves otherwise. Do you recommend it ? Not only it looks interesting, but I'd enjoy watching it in order to know how to make a fanfic of a girl anime, and give it the proper touch of dark.
