crimsonchief is not a troll. I love Patton Oswalt's work. I listen to his stand up a lot. But I was looking forward to hearing Ellison discuss his Glass Teat books, and I got Patton Oswalt talking about something totally different. If you clicked on a video titled, 'Stephen King discusses Carrie' and you get Sarah Silverman discussing standup, wouldn't you say that was a misleading? Not everyone who likes Ellison also likes Oswalt.
I believe that is only part of a 2 hour live event held at a theater in Los Angeles. Supposedly it wasn't recorded and unless you watched it live you were out of luck.
The Glass Teat and The Other GT shaped much of my thinking in the 70's when I was in junior and high school. It took the maturity of adulthood to remove that liberal mush.
It's so cool to see Patton cracking Harlan up like this, knowing how much Patton idolizes him.
Just want to say this is one of the most beautiful videos ever, I go back from time to time to relisten. Miss ya Harlan.
Susan and a very surprised Harlan are now living the good life in Heaven. RIP.
This is amazing! Please upload more video from this event if you have it, you'd be doing a great service to Ellison fans.
Oh my god they're like an old married couple. I LOVE IT!! THANK YOU!! :)
Reduced to what, exactly? One of the finest writers of his generation partnered with one of the finest actors and standup comedians of his generation?
Dear god, the Glass Teat was the finest critique of television ever written. That it should be reduced to this...?
Reduced to...? Are you fucking kidding me?
The Glass Teat is not merely television criticism, it's a full-on fuck you dose of blisteringly funny cultural criticism.
This is Heaven.

The Glass Teat? Oh it's been a long time... since I've had my favorite drink...
So classic...
I enjoyed this, but.. what part of it is about The Glass Teat?
I PUT OUT FOR WENDYS!

Finest actors? That's a stretch.

And now youre old and bitter 😞 How’s all that hard work and doing the right thing working out for you?
And tv still sucks. Its been appropriated by the SJWs. So Harlan's books still are relevant.
