- Notion and Softr are two of the most useful apps for modern professionals, and they just integrated to form a powerful duo for creating web apps for any need. And through the integration, Softr resolves many of Notion's biggest pain points. Let's explore the possibilities through three examples:
00:34 - What's Sofr?
02:00 - Notion databases and user management
03:36 - Membership site
04:51 - Client portal

I'm super excited to link Notion and Softr. You've made it all very intuition and easy to follow along. The results are powerful!
Thanks so much. Excited for you to try it.
William, you've done a wonderful job here. I was worried that it was hard to get Softr web apps looking good, but you've proved it can be done. Thank you 🙏
Glad you like the look! Softr is highly customizable, and you can use your own CSS if needed.
@@WilliamNutt From the perspective of a web developer, this is super exciting!
@@jimpannell2035 Indeed! Pretty exciting from all perspectives 😆
Wow! Incredible. Fantastic work!
Thanks!
Awesome video, William. Time for me to sign into my Notion VIP account after a looong period of inactivity. 😁
Thrilled to have you back!
Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
Indeed! Thanks for tuning in
Very cool! Just to clarify, it doesn't have the capabilities for a two-way sync, correct? Like, users can't interact with the Softr site and then that updates in the Notion database?
It does sync both ways! It's a great way for non-Notion users to manage Notion information.
Great solution to be honest and I haven't seen the tool, pretty solid for dashboards.
On the flip side, now I'm doing what I don't want to do: Adding 1 more tool on top of Notion, eventually it becomes ANOTHER subscription, etc. I don't know about you, but I like Notion exactly because it allows me to remove tools. Now we're doing the reverse to fix Notion's limitation. AAAaaaa
It's a shame they haven't figured out granular-database-sharing yet, it would be a game changer.......... 😔
Would be nice if they had a roadmap like the used to, but they seem to have removed that sort of transparency.
Over time I expect Notion to become more customizable in terms of design and granular sharing
@@WilliamNutt same! I’ll try this approach and see how it goes, who knows - perhaps I won’t mind it at all. Cheers!
@@rafalpotasz You'll like it to be sure 😊
This looks fantastic!
Give it a whirl with Softr's free tier. You'll love it.
Snif.. it is great but it is not possible to use with database in subpage... who have project management in multiple page?
Yes, it's possible. Within any "detail" page, you can add database views and filter for the current item
@@WilliamNutt thanks, i had a bug yesterday but it is fixed, I see my page :)
Great!
Thanks for sharing. Seems like a powerful option. I did hit the link and create an account, but none of the portal templates I can locate have the ability to connect to Notion. Is this right?
Indeed, existing templates need to be updated to support the Notion integration. I'm not sure if they'll update them, or use Notion moving forward.
The portal template in the video will be available soon to members of Notion A-to-Z. We'd love for you to join us!
@@WilliamNutt thank you for clarifying!
How about making video about formula 2.0, sir? You are the best explaining about Notion formula 😭
Popular request! It's an enormous topic. Can you specify what you hope to learn about Formulas 2.0?
We're using Notion in a very similar way to your 3rd use case: basically we are compiling one pagers with policy descriptions (similar to your "recommendations" or "lessons"). Would you say Softr is our best way to "beautify" these one pagers? The options in Notion for layouting and styling page contents are somewhat limited. Clearly Softr addresses our needs for sharing contents without giving access to the entire table, while maintaining the filter options which are crucial for us. Maybe you could follow-up with more details on layouting and styling options for the contents, within Softr or another approach?
Absolutely. Softr gives you full control of design. You can tweak it within the builder and add custom CSS if you'd like.
The templates will be ready soon. If you reply to today's Notion VIP email, you can get a hefty discount on Notion A-to-Z, which includes all templates and resources.
says its not available to use yet?
It's available indeed! Where do you see otherwise?
