Very simplistic and you'll need to check your discharge consents with your local authority or Environment agency.. Not all systems will give you an approved discharge, note that the Nutrients Bill will changes the ability to use these systems in some areas.
Why do you say they cost £1k per year? (Asking not criticising). The Harlequin Hydroclear 9 uses 1.1Kwh per day which on 30p a Kwh is £120 a year. What's the additional cost?
I say that because servicing cost, electric costs and replacement part all add up. In my opinion a non electric sewage treatment plant is 100% better. No electricity costs. Minimal servicing. Nothing to break down
Unfortunately I do not have the fall for a eco system and will need to install the air type. What is you opinion of the Harlequin HydroClear treatment plant?
Hi. Thanks for your comment. Personally, I hate electric systems. They cost money to run and only have a 1 year warranty. There are other negative things but you get the point. Have you seen the new eco system. The outlet is a lot shallower?
Does this system need to run to a drainage field for ground discharge?

But do they produce low ammonia levels of discharge? And therefore keep the environment agency happy? I discharge to a borehole
