This is the second time Puteri covers Desert Rose. The first one was an equally superb cover wth only her piano. This version is more upbeat...both are fabulous...the original was a duet between Cheb mami ( hence the yodelling) n Sting. Maybe u need to check that out too, Lee...🎉

Putri is great, she puts almost a dance beat to the song. You should also check out the version by Faouzia. She just performed this one Singer 2024, the same competition that introduced Dimash to the world. She won the round with her performance. Faouzia is a Moroccan born Canadian singer who is fluent in English, French and Arabic. Her other performances on Singer 2024 are also great - Crazy (Gnarls Barkley) and Set Fire to the Rain (Adele). As well, she has new releases on her YT channel including a live performance of her song Fur Elise.
