  • Pastor Frank Berretta baptized Levi, Celestria, and Sahar, in the back yard today. Our baptismal pool was a 8x3x2, 300 gallon stock tank.
In Mark 16:16 Jesus said, "whoever believes and is baptized will be saved." Because of the great significance of baptism, Jesus himself was baptized. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith in Jesus. It's our public commitment to the Christian life. When we go under the water it symbolizes our body of sin being buried like Jesus was buried; when we come up out of the water it shows we have been resurrected with Jesus into a new life in Christ!
In Acts 2:38 the New Testament church was born, and three thousand were added to the church when Peter said, "Repent and be baptized everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit..."

New Subscriber! I enjoyed the Baptismal Service. It is a blessing to witness the baptism in Jesus' name. Redeeming Temple Church in Toledo, Ohio is praying with Southern Cross!

This was a blessing to see. Congrats to you guys. I was young (9) when I had my Baptism. I had a good understanding of what it meant. My dad did it. We had a long talk and prayer a few days before. One of my best memories.
    Unfortunate I couldn't see today's Service.
    God bless.

There are a lot of commitments that have significance,
With binding contracts and public acknowledgements,
But none are so precious as when believers are baptized,
Committing themselves to God for the rest of their lives!
Now I bear witness that Levi, Celestia, and Sahar have done this act,
And they can sing with the enduring confidence that comes that fact:
"I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back!" 😃
    I rejoice with y'all today
    And encourage y'all to stay
On the strait and narrow path! 🙂

This was done correctly (according to what I know from the word) as he prayed immediately for them to receive the Holy Spirit. Many don’t understand that the holy spirit baptism is a separate experience.

Remember that the Samaritans did not receive the Holy Ghost when they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus Acts 8:14-18. This happened when Peter and John lay their hands on them. Similarly the Ephesians did not receive the Holy Ghost when they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 19 :1-7. This only happened when Paul lay his hands on them. Peter was speaking to the Jews who had just crucified Jesus and would already have been baptised for remission of sins by John the Baptist Acts 2:36-41. Mark 1 :4-5. They were re-baptised just like the Ephesians.
