I don't know if you had this game in one of your videos.. I cannot recall honestly. But there's this RPG I played in my childhood and never finished.. It's called Revenant (1999). Would be cool for you to make a video about it because it's one of a kind :)
Type of game that would have consumed my whole personality if i found it in a bargain bin when i was 12
5:54 I like how it says that Cosma Shiva Hagen is modelled after the elf, and not the other way around.
😮😂
Epic
NB Cosma Hagen didnt make it into the thumbnail. no distractions allowed, brothers. this is important.
Can you believe I bought a copy (a pirated copy in dvd!!) back in 2009 or so and never played it?? I still have it somewhere, but today is easier to look for it in internet than connecting my old DVD player to my current pc... time goes fast!
Oh my god I remember playing this game (when it released!) - seeing this video unlocked some kind of memory in my head I had totally forgotten about haha
I got this game when it came out and really liked it. I thought that it was so clever that your mouse cursor is a farie.
I remember one thing about this game, that it managed to lag on my pc at the time even though crysis 1 didnt lag at all.
they should have jacked up the hit chance on bigger enemies to compensate for slower attack speed. it would have made killing big enemies a challenge for dex builds, which makes sense.
Thing I like a lot in this game is that dodge/block/critocal hit have actually visual animations, not as other hack n slash only sign or other warning. Its very immersive that way, even every enemy have them so you can see when miss enemy- he simply step/jump aside or block with shield or weapon. Cool!
Wooo I remember this one, need to try it out, thanks!
I remember liking it back in the day. Some cool Titan Quest vibes. Didn't do anything to push the genre, but it was totally alright for its budget. I might go back to see how it holds up in practice.
We need more studios like Night Dive that go after old games like this, ensure they run on modern OS, take advantage of all CPU cores, and add other typical modern features, like more display options, Xinput/controller support where applicable, achievements, etc. There's just so many great delisted/lost/forgotten/nonworking games that there's so much potential
Oh sh*t I remember this game^^ Man what a time back when we still had our version of blockbuster and one could rent a game
Another DiabloKiller (along with Loki) that failed. Also the only Collector's Edition in my gaming library.
I remember some bug that caused dual-wielding weapons to 1-hit kill enemies including final boss.
I do appreciate enemies dodging attacks instead of taking hits for 0 damage. But then in New Game + they're like Agent Smith with their insane dodging.
And yeah Luna's voice is annoying, even in Polish version (voiced by Jabłczyńska). They knew how to choose the right person for the role.
Even though I don't remember much about this game, I still know I also played a jumping attack build. They even published a book series to the game and I have the first volume of it, don't know if there were more published though. Fond memories of the game
Oh I remember them from Restricted Area which I played back then. Have not played this one though.
Veryinterestinggame! Willhavetocheckitoutmyself. Greatvid!
Love you videos man. I aways find something to scratch my itch for isometric rpgs. Also you voice resembles the legendary Giorgio Moroder haha
Your work is great, showing us these games and how can perform in today's computers.
I think installing this game under Linux maybe is better in a contain environment with those Nvidia physics.
I'll try on my Steam Deck.
GG
Video idea: "Top 5 obscure RPGS you should play" if you haven't done something like that aleredy
Played this when it came out and i really liked it back then. Glad i could buy it on steam before it got delisted
1:57 I love the Risen music bro...the game looking good, probably i will play it.

Hey man, found your channel recently and binged a lot of your content. Great stuff. I know you mostly review obscure western stuff, but I think the Ys series by Nihon Falcom would be right up your alley. Niche but almost as ongoing and as historied as Zelda. Thanks for the vid.
Man, check the game "Revenant" from 1999. I remember I had the demo for this and I played it liek crazy. never managed to play the full version.
Never heard of the game, but I had a huge crush on Cosma Shiva Hagen when I was about 13, 14 or 15 😂
When I played this game back in the day I thought it was so average and non-interesting. Nothing to write home about and eventually dropped it. But this has convinced me to give it another go. I still have my disc lol.
Never knew anyone else who played this game. Thanks for covering it. I had come across this and Hard to be a God at the same time. Enjoyed both quite a lot
2:10 down right i swear i saw billy
It does look like a Titan Quest mode honestly
brother ive been trying to find this game for i dont know how long, i've played it years ago as a kid and seeing the thumbnail made me shout ITS THIS ONE, ive used AI, tried googling every single thing i remember and couldnt find it, THANK YOU
Hmm, perhaps I'll need to give this one another try. I didn't really pay much attention to animations, but some of the music, the aesthetics and so on were nice enough. It just pained me how generic the implementation of the setting was.
As far as "Restricted Areas" is concerned I had issues with the most recent patch. I got frequent mini freezes when interacting with the inventory. Going back by one patch solved it for me.
I sure am glad that I played this gamein German. The German voiceacting sounds leagues better.
Nice vid! I still have the retail copy somewhere, tried to activate it on steam via the product key years ago, didn't work though. Maybe I should buy a USB DVD drive :D
Yes i was waiting for this game 😊
thanks for the presentation
Restricted Area! HELL YES, please make a video on that one (and info on how to get a good copy too). I know it is a stumpy kinda game and is very stiff but I LOVED that game so much when I was younger. One of the first cyberpunk style ARPG I really got into.
Kind of like Throne of Darkness, it is pretty meh but still sucked me in and had me playing it a BUNCH
Nice review thanks!
Looks quite interesting. However i do not know if i shall start monkeying around with the physx drivers just to play a legacy game.
Nice video about nice game. Loki next, please. :)
ma lawd, this was one of my absolute favorite arpgs. Next to TitanQuest ofc. Couldnt finish it back then as a kid, and now it seems a bit too cumbersome to play :( But it had great ideas.
Did u play ME trilogy? I know it's not related to video, and sorry for asking, but in case you didn't, i recommend it with 100% certainty you will enjoy it as much as the Gothic trilogy.
Great game. I still have a copy in my library.
how die you play this hame? enemies do level scale and respawn when you restart the game. When I played this game i saved and quid several times close to that first huge bandit camp and evrey time all bandits i previously killed respawned and all bandits in the camp where a level higher.
very cool game btw thanks! but they should learn to use spacebar in dialogs
i'll buy just to be able to play with cosma shiva hagen her mouse xD
looks great.
I had this on my wishlist for years and years and never did get around to ever playing it or buying it.
RIP Maradona
Wil u do obcure rts
I played this one with an mage build..god that fairy is annoying...I think I killed the dragon and stopped playing dunno why...this is one I would like to revisit one day
The game actually doesn't look half-bad, the reviews at the same made it appear much worse than it is.
BtW, would you say that this game is more enjoyable to play than Hard to be a God ?
They were released very close to each other and the titles are incidentally rather similar.
The HUD is stretched.
Didn't even notice it tbh. Even so, it's a small price to pay for having high resolution.
@@click4gameplay I know. I've noticed that you don't seem to notice it from some of your other videos. I just wanted to point it out. 😆 I personally always notice it when it's stretched and it bothers me when I play older games.
Lepa igrica, prelepa, bravo za tebe srećo.
yo is c4g croatian?
Brother you have become one of my biggest comfort channels. Thanks for your work 🫡🙏
