Fun fact, Dave Dreiwitz, the bassist in Ween is also bassist in a little band called Joe Russo's Almost Dead, which is a jam band and as the name suggests a Grateful Dead covers band. And they even have a connection to the Grateful Dead, because Joe Russo was the drummer in Furthur alongside Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. Maybe that makes it easier to listen to them.
Hey Glen, loving the CD exchange. The reviews will be fun and interesting. Just so you know, both the 'Great Balancing Act' and myself are from Moncton New Brunswick. I'm the one who introduced the band to Larry.
Hi Glen!!! I have seeing other VC channel talking about Nektar a kind of underrated prog band. That's an awesome pair of headphones..... cheers and be well
Love that Nektar cd. I have Remember the Future as well. One Hand Clapping sounds like something Larry would do 😅😅😅😅 Beautiful head phones Quicksilver is such a great band Love my deluxe copy of Fragile Great video my friend ❤❤
Wow. Panic has ascended into your top 5 or so. It's true. Not a bad release out there. You can't go wrong with anything Panic. It will be hard to get any live "gems" in Canada but I've got my fingers crossed. Some epic nights out there for sure. It's the lingering lead that has cast it's spell. Hopefully you get lucky on a Florida trip. I'd suggest a Georgia side trip. 😊
I've had Wings' "One Hand Clapping" on bootleg for years. And an edit of the film is found in the "Band On The Run" McCartney Archive Collection release from 2010. It's included on both the big box set, and the 2 CD/ DVD edition. That's the only time we got a DVD with a smaller edition. If you have that, dig it out, and watch that version of the film. It's made from a copy, so the quality isn't very good. But, the theatrical edition is fairly poor, too. They filmed the documentary using very soon to be outdated U-Matic cameras. And that was transferred to film for editing. On top of that, there's voice-over narration overtop some songs. Very good performances, though. It was mostly done at Abbey Road Studios, the last week of Aug. 1974. A few things are missing from the CD release. The song, "Suicide", likely for P.C. reasons, and the acoustic "The Backyard" segment. which is included with the 2 LP vinyl edition as a vinyl E.P. There was lots of room on CD 2 to include that 11 min. acoustic segment. But, they made it a vinyl exclusive.
I've never heard anything by Nektar, but I bet it's sweet. Ween can be hit and miss, but some of their stuff is really good. They are much more talented than people give them credit for.
Donovan is your answer! That Larry guy sounds like an awesome guy! 😃 I played Widespread Panic last night. No comment. Yet...
I bet you are still Rockin from playing that album..

That is a very cool relation..Loved Further..I have one of their live albums that you could purchase right after the show ended..

Nektar is worth a listen..Not sure how I am going to take to Ween..I am a bit nervous..
Coincidentally I just sold my Amirons. Not because I thought they sounded bad, I hasten to add.
Curious what you got for them if you don’t mind revealing..
@@GlenKellawayfromthebasement I'm in the UK but I sold them for the equivalent of CAN $350.
@@iamwoteveriwanttobe wow..that was a great deal for whomever purchased them..at least by Canadian prices..
