For this situation, I recommend starting by slowly integrating "lolita-esc" peices and accessories to your normal wardrobe. That way your parents will slowly become used to the idea and aesthetic, and so will you. Start small, and the transition won't be as drastic in your parent's eyes. Lolita takes time too, so be patient with the journey. I hope this advise helps you somewhat, and I wish you luck 💖
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I have been following lolita fashion for 9 years but just started wearing it this year! I hope you keep sharing videos!!
My first experience with Lolita fashion was when I stumbled across the band Strawberry Switchblade some years ago. They had one hit wonder success in the 1980's, but their fashion sense was a large influence on Lolita fashion in Japan. I'd recommend you give them a listen.
My first experience was when I was 8, there were this TV show in Italy lead by this girl named Fiore who helped kids finding their style, and she used to dress sweet Lolita she even talked about it in one episode, and I fell in love with the style, but since it's not that easy to find Lolita in Italy and it can be very expensive I've never really dressed up Lolita😢 Just now I'm trying to start building my Lolita wardrobe...
Oh that's so cool sweet lolita was featured on TV 😃. And that's so exciting you are starting to wear it! I wish you luck in your lolita fashion journey!
I'm late too. Only Japanese things I was already familiar with are the stunning kitchen cutlery and Moomins are a quiet obsession in Japan. And of course sandalwood incense! Then there were a few bands I liked, lastly food.
Dig the color theme of the outfit, don't see orange enough.
Ok but I’ve wanted to start Lolita for sooooo long but idk how to tell my parents since they are really judgemental
