That neon indicator lamp; we had a very old immersion heater and it used one of those outside the cupboard that the hot water cylinder was in along with a brown bakelite switch.
I love those coloured CFL Bulbs! I have had one of those Megaman bulbs in my room for about 9 to 10 years. Still works flawlessly after nearly being used daily! I also have quite a lot of bulbs old enough to have the Ballast type start-ups. Do you have any SOX/ SON Streetlights or bulbs?
