I stayed until the end :) because I was doing this wrapping with some ‘if’ and this way is more elegant. Thank you for such videos!

Nice. It makes a lot of sense mathematically, as the Wrap tool is just another name for the modulo operation. Modulo creates "congruence classes" on integers, which are the direct equivalent to "pitch classes" in music theory. In your module, that's exactly how you use them. I appreciate the isometry and I wouldn't say you're misusing the module.

    This is brilliant !
Thanks Polarity, am still trying to wrap my head around the endless possibilities of Bitwig's grid and this just opened up my eyes to a whole new usage for it!

Funny. I just made an octave wrapper in the note grid last night. It allows you to choose which note the octave wraps on and also shift the output octave. I can send you the note grid preset if you like. It’s just a different approach to get to the same place essentially. Cheers.

I definitively Watch your videos, and as you may see now, untill the end!
I kind of halted my idea to expand modularily my analogue synths because there is no ending to it and it consumes greatly amounts of time... and money..... and I am more aimed to compose and compose than to just skate along with sound design (which I love too also, but as I said, time consuming)
To me, BitWig, and it's "Digital Modularity", is like an infinite Analogue Synthesis emulator, so this I am sure I want to spend more time and really learn and master.... and I don't have to invest more in analogue gear that, throughout the year, just sit in my studio gathering dust (I have to accept that those modules, just by being there and ready to be used, bring me joy.... but are very redundant because I mostly turn to the same modules, Moog+Arturia+BitWig mostly)
So BitWig with its Digital Modilarity caught me and it is my main DAW now, leaving behind *way behind* the others.
Your videos are the best there is to learn this "Digital Modularity".... it is soo cool. One thing is that I have many videos on hold because they are soo deep (mostly because of the sometimes infinite interactions between each module) that I want to master whatever the given video topic is, and for that, I like to follow you with a BitWig project open... but not always I have the time to do it or finishe it, so, sometimes I just double speed you and leave the "excercise" for later.... also, I like very much to follow your thought process, for you definitevely are the Über-BitWiger.
My thought fo learning this, is to really be able to apply this tools to my workflow and ideas, not just to have them as inspiration to start projects, like many do with samples, but to use them when I have a project at hand or an Idea.... to have this as tools to make it real and be able to create as I need while saving time also, and not just follow grid presets.
To me this videos of Polarity Music are gold 🏆 Danke!

Funny! I am still there, the mate below my comment nailed it right. Modulo, is like just division keeping the rest. If you cannot be really sure, about the rest, maybe because of rounding errors, so you get the wrong result or you have a coordinate transformation which is not evenly spaced in a non linear fashion. Otherwise I know ceil and round or just mulitply big values, divide big values. I do not get why you cannot just do a silly string replace in your example like C5 -> throw away the 5 put your target oktave to it like C(3) OR just making a lookup from asci to number . Simple subtraction in a numerical approximation can even be considered, as you can expect Division is done under the hood by a numerical approach aswell. This could even be an issue if you calculate stuff at audio sample rates which might even happen in your scenario, Anyhow, Nice Video! WEITER SO! Best Regards Tim
