Developing a PHEV with minimum 2000 kms of range (full charge + full tank of petrol) with 1.5 litre Atkinson based engine with generator should be the national priority for India. Unfortunately Nithin Gadkarji is confusing all by saying EV/Hydrogen/Flex fuels and not giving clear road map. None of the EV’s will be adopted by majority of people because of frequent changes in battery technology / lack of charging stations / No power in charging stations etc. If Mahindra / Tata and GOI work towards this and develop a contemporary 1.5 Liter Atkinson based engine and develop a highly efficient Motor /Generator which can be mounted in rear wheel. The vehicle architecture should be such that, batteries can be replaceable after 5-6 years depending upon the new technology of batteries available later. We don’t want Sun/Moon/Sky roof - completely useless feature and also we don’t want fancy big display screens - Car should be like cars and not like toys. For developing this technology, if 2000 CRs to 3000 CRs is required, then let GOI contribute and licence the technology. This will lead to huge efficiency gains and huge forex savings. China is racing ahead of all and we Indians are very much satisfied with electric Toys.

Excellent content and proper discussion overall cars and bikes shown in the auto expo this year. Really look forward see this kind of content or maybe you invite few cars and bike enthusiastic people to talk more on it.
This was an interesting podcast, the subject was the best you could get, the participants were too good, but somehow, the absence of the living, automobile encyclopedia, legendary man was felt.
Tvs news is a bit confusing, i read somewhere that xd4 engine can be upscaled to 420cc.. so does that mean there wouldn't be a tvs variant of the 450 twin. I was hoping for a apache 450RR, coz that would be priced closed to rs457.. The bmw f450 RR would be overpriced.
AVINYA has landed, proving once again that India can make everything-satellites, spices, and now cars that make the Germans sweat and the Japanese rethink their Zen!
I didnt get it earlier. With the current charging infra, coal fired source of electricity along with slow charging speeds and high costs why would the customers buy ev. I am apprehensive about ev for none of the above reasons. The thing that scares me is that car companies will fully switch to the subscription model wherein all features will have yearly payments without which the car will just be a base or second to base model car.
During Honda elevate launch they said they will launch a suv every year... Obviously the promise is broken and as always honda is doing nothing interesting

Was a treat to watch an informed summary of the Mobility expo. 👍.
Why are’nt Indian OEM’s introducing REEV’s into the Indian market?.
33:35 if the engine is developed by TVS then it will be a huge achievement for TVS.
BE 6E just the body alone was the most eye catching car of the whole show
Will the harrier ev be a 800 V architecture ev?
Make these longer !

YangWang! Ha ha. And do you know what else floats on water?
Honda has been having the same problem everywhere to high pricing with a clear product strategy.
Looks like Yamaha RX100 will make a come back in electric avtar !!
Excellent opportunity for TVS to sell iqube aggressively .. Seems all other 2EVs are struggling with one or other aspect
During Honda elevate launch they said they will launch a suv every year... Obviously the promise is broken and as always honda is doing nothing interesting
5 lakhs that's too much come on man BMW needs to compete with RE amd KTM
Tata should focus on sumo
