Today, on World Youth Skills Day, we honor the incredible potential of young farmers to drive positive change in our world. This year's theme, "Youth Skills for Peace and Development," highlights the crucial role that youth play in peacebuilding and conflict resolution efforts.
At FtMA, we are proud to empower young farmers with skills that enhance their livelihoods and contribute to sustainable development and community harmony. One such skill is #potatoseedmultiplication (PSM), a technique that holds immense potential for farmers. By mastering this technique, young farmers can boost their yields, improve food security, and generate income, all while fostering collaboration and peace within their communities.
On World Youth Skills Day 2024, we celebrate Everline Naserian, an FSC from Narok County. In the video, she shares her PSM journey inspired by FtMA. PSM involves growing high-quality seed potatoes under controlled conditions to produce healthy seed tubers for planting and distribution, enhancing crop yields and quality.
