the remaps were the first feature that really pulled me into vital when I first started beta testing it, even back then, before it had all the new shiny features it had now, this feature was by far my favorite part about vital. Crazy weirdness. I need to dive into Vital. I installed it when it first came out to test and haven’t even opened it. Got sidetracked with playing with all of my Black Friday plugins from last year.
Why is the limit 64? There are 8 true LFOs (ignoring the random ones), so if the limit is 64 then I would assume an LFO can only have 8 destinations. But I just created 10 modulations for a single LFO, so that can't be it. Is there a mazimum total number of modulations that the matrix supports, or what?
I thought that too... if you do it like Dash here with the matrix remap.. shouldn't there be "unlimited" LFOs ? But not going to try it right now.... maybe he just wanted a nice number for the video titel
OK, I just did the test. There is a maximum of 64 total modulations of any type allowed. So if you use all 64 on LFO sources, then there are none left over for macros, envelopes, random LFOs, velocity, pressure, etc. I can't imagine ever needing that many, but it is good to understand the limit.
