    a shame you skipped a lot of the essential parts of taking it apart a putting it back together. I know i was your first time, but you could have explained it, if filming it was a stretch.

    Is it nessary to put shims by the bearings right before the cups? I think they come with one side shimmed but not the other. Thanks 👍

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No you only want to put the shim on the gear side and push it towards your opinion

      @@BarstoneRC oh ok cool then I did it correctly. Tbh the center diff when I had just one shim on the gear side there was play. When I added the other shim to the side closest to the rear it tightened it up.

    • @BarstoneRC

      Yeah you only want to add gears to the gear side and push it towards the pinion

    Love the PPS parts - want to get the adjustable motor mount. My Kraton 6s is down, ESC went poof in blue smoke 😢 also check if the input gear needs shimming behind the bearing

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah they make some nice stuff. But yeah I was checking if the input gear needed shimmed it felt pretty good but I’m going to run this a few times and then check everything again.

    Get what's called 'tee nuts' for your batt tray. They come in M3 and will work with the stock screws. I also suggest gluing them in place, then using a high density foam to line the bottom of your tray. Try to keep it under 1/4" or you'll have problems with batteries fitting. 😎💪

    I’m having trouble thinking about the tyres for my Kraton because we found a really nice place in some sand to drive and I should probably vent my tyres but I’m not sure how

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well if you’re not gonna be taking it into any water I wouldn’t be real concerned with venting them but if you do want to use like a quarter inch drill bit and put like six holes in your tire evenly spaced out in the middle.

    • @jean-marcrevill3175
      @jean-marcrevill3175 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bars&tone RC could you also use a thin soldering iron

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you just want to get some holes poked in there so at high speeds that water has somewhere to escape

    • @jean-marcrevill3175
      @jean-marcrevill3175 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bars&tone RC what about sand?

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t worry about sand. The only real reason to vent your tires is if you’re going to be going through puddles and getting water in through the rim vent holes because then you have to allow somewhere for the water to get back out
