I love toe rings and often manage to lose them, especially wearing sox at times so this is wonderful. Dunno why I never thought of making them. You have a lovely teaching style and artisan skills and persona. Thanx so much. Going on now to your next video, I could watch you all day!
Thank you for the kind compliment. I hope you make some :) it's addictive once you get started because you can make so many different styles. I lost the last toe ring that I had on for 2 years straight. I need to make myself another one lol
Tyty love this tutorial, u go at good pace and show & explain well as u go. Made 2 of the toe rings after watching this and they came out so good, tyty
18 gauge is going to bend, but 16 can too.. Adjustable rings always have that ability to catch on something and bend but as long as you are just using a silver plated wire or something, It doesn't really matter too much. You can just bend it back or reshape it on your ring mandrel.
This response is a bit late but I figured you might want the information anyhow. With Sterling silver I would work from one end to the other end.. I would start with the tiny little hoop that goes underneath the toe first so there is no waste, Then I would go in approximately a centimeter before I made the 1st small hoop in the wave design. I would work it up to the bigger section in the middle and then down to the smaller. Then another space, about a centimeter, then end with another tiny hoop... Try to gauge it with your ruler along the way And trying to keep balance on each side.
What wire do you suggest the wire jewellery to be made of? Is dead soft way to soft for someone who wears their jewellery 24/7? I’m rough on jewellery, and most of my bangles and rings are bent lol
Definitely use a half hard wire.. And 18 gauge. Sometimes these things will just get bent out of shape if they get caught on something or just from a lot of wear. Stick it back on your ring mandrel and get your rubber mallet and reshape it. I have a steel bracelet mandrel as well.. It really wasn't very expensive and you can keep everything in perfect shape :)
Why do you keep hammering it with that rubber/Plastic mallet? And then why did you use the flat hammer also? If you could explain the purpose behind those things, it would be helpful.
A rubber mallet is used to shape The wire around the mandrel. A hard hammer is used to flatten wire.. When you flatten it, it strengthens it and it also adds shine to one side.
Sure thing. :) Thank you for the reminder. For a toe rings that don't have a bead I use 18 gauge. If I need to use a bead that I am wire wrapping then the wire is 20 gauge.
Alors les doigts de pieds c'est vraiment pas sexy alors attirer encore plus l'attention avec une bague aussi sympa soit-elle non c'est une très mauvaise idée
Great video! I’m so excited to make more.

My favorite toe ring is the heart.💕
Amazing
Would these be strong enough to make into regular finger rings? I think with 18 gauge it wouldn’t bend right?

@@Wirewrap thank you for the reply! Love your videos, hope to see more if you’re able to make more :)
Cute toe rings! I want to make the one that starts at 15:53. What gauge wire do you recommend?
Awesome
Nice toe rings. How much wire do I need to cut for the wave design? I am using sterling silver so dont want to waste too much wire. Thank you.

Where can I fined the steel block?

@@Wirewrap ok cool thanks so much, are you selling any products? Wires/tools?
Hi. Are you using half hard copper or dead soft copper? Or is it another metal. Thanks!
It's half hard
Chain nose and needle nose are the same thing. That’s a round nose plier for bending loops..
Sounds like you could start your own channel :) I wish you the best.
Where are your other videos
What happens if it gets water?

At 5:51, that first loop is as wide as your thumb, which is certainly wider than a centimeter. Confusing
Can you please include the wire gauges for created pieces
