Great guide, Congratulations! Got my shadowmourne last year on my pala, took me a long time to find nice people to do Blood Infusion. I did it with two other guildies, I think the minimum amount of players required, provided there's a resssurection ability (I used a lock). I share the kind of sadness Ashmongold showed for not having crafted Shadowmourne during WOTLK. In my case, the sadness comes from having done all the AQ-40 chain quest up to but excluding "Bang a Gong", which denied me getting a Feat of Strength when stupidly Blizzard decided to (before Cata) remove the best quest chain in the whole game. Oh well, I kept The Scepter of the Shifting Sands (malevolous grin). Great job with some lore explaining in the last part of the video. As someone who played Warcraft since the old days of Orcs and Humans, it was very nice to remember why lore characters act like they do, their looks, their story. Few people talk of it, nowadays.
My guild didnt think it was a priority for me to get the last 4 shards i needed but instead let the officer who had been on holiday for weeks collect the shards he needed instead still pisses me off to this day
I guess by now you know this, but as I saw no comment I wanted to make sure: You can do blood infusion solo if you have 3 alts of level >= 50 (retail version). Just Alt-F4 as soon as you got the vampire thing, relog to the first alt so it is in combat, Alt-F4-relog back to the main, bite ASAP, rinse and repeat 2 times, done. I did this last week so it works.
Knocked off from a 5am start, new years day, to see that ya boy Asmongold put out a guide for something I was stuck on (unholy/blood infusion) with my warrior/pally. Best thing that has happened so far this year.

Excellent guide! I'm putting this here as a note. I haven't tested this sufficiently, but me and a few friends recently did this again. He got hit twice by the frost breath, giving him 2 stacks of the frost debuff for Shadow's Edge after which Syndragosa flies up and does the entomb attack. It froze all four of us and ofc despawns her. The debuff actually stayed on him whilest out of combat, nor did it reset when we pulled the boss again. I assume it saved us some time, as I remember I had 4 air phases where my friend only had one. So TL;DR, Frost infusion related debuff does not fall of after combat or on boss pull. It might save you time doing that quest...

ICC was my absolute favorite. Nostalgia to the max right now. I remember helping our guild's best Warrior getting his Shaeowmourne. It was so rewarding to ALL of us the day he finally got it. We made an event out of it and got drunk. :P I miss those days man..

I believe the difference with arthas and bolvar is that arthas merged with nerzhul to become the lich king while bolvar is now the singular chainer of the damned, and in the books at least arthas tried his best to hold back the merged being from becoming corrupt but failed in doing so.

For the Blood Infusion, if you're a Deathknight, you can duo it with a Shaman. This is because the SHaman can get bit, die, self-resurrect themselves with Ankh, then you bite them again, they die once more, use your Battle rez(Ankh doesn't count as a Brez), then bite them the third time and finish up. For Paladin or Warrior, you need at least 1 Shaman and another. Just a small tip that may help some.
Awesome guide from gameplay perspective. Although there were several mistakes in terms of lore accuracy. eg. Arthas and Muradin didn't come to Northrend together. Muradin was already in Northrend searching for the blade when Arthas found him. It was from Muradin that he heard about Frostmourne first. Also Muradin warned him too against taking it. Plus, Muradin wasn't saddened then when he took it. When Frostmourne's cask exploded, a shard hit Muradin. Muradin, unconscious and bleeding, appeared to Arthas as fatally wounded, who abandoned him for dead there. Although Muradin survived eventually. Also you forgot to mention that it was Muradin who actually trained Arthas first to be a skilled warrior. He later joined the Paladins under Uther.

A tip when doing the first part where you need the Primordial Saronite, check the AH first. People sell it for a way cheaper price there, at least on my server.
For those wondering in BFA, take off your gear, one shotting the mobs can mess up the kill for souls fed. Just only have the axe equipped, no armor etc., (Also the opposite factions on rampart of skulls count towards the 50 souls)
Okay for everyone who seems to have him resetted once you enter the abomination. Make sure you have it set on 25 man Heroic to begin with. I tried 7 times and he kept resetting and it was on normal, not HC. First attempt at Hc he reset again, so I tried to remove my pet (I play as DK) and this time it worked. Wait for 2 pools, 1 to grow big and 1 half size, nuke him to 80%, jump in to the abomination, wait fully for your transformation in to the abomination to be complete, then start collecting ooze. This is what worked for me, hopefully works for you too! :)
You can do blood infusion with just one warlock. 1st the lock have to activate the soul stone on him and logout for 10min (cooldown) so when he logs back, he still have the soulstone buff and another one ready to use. Then you get the 1st bite, bite the warlock (2nd stack), he kills himself, ressurrect with soulstone, uses soulstone again (since it's cd is reseted), you bite him again (3rd stack), he dies again, ressurect with soulstone and you get the last and 4th stack.
I didn't lie tho. Its not class dependent its a use of a game mechanic named method 0 just seacrch for it and use your brain maybie you can get from that how I did it.
I am on the shadowfrost quest, people say that the blood infusion is the worst but for me the shadowfrost hands down is the worst quest since it takes 6-8 weeks to complete. Also, I see lots of people complaining about not having any friends/guild members to help you honestly don't need any of that. Go to trade chat and link quest make sure you get 3 people they honestly don't even need to be skilled at the game just 110 pref and explain the simple tactics to them bite each one kill boss and done.
It's not the function or even helmet of domination (where Nerzhul entity was held before it was melted with Arthas) it's the frostmourne that broke his will. Bolvar does not have one so he shouldn't really cause to much trouble. Great video anyway as always man :)
Some tips for those who just begin doing the quest: 1.all the quests except the last one are doable in 1 week and you have valithria and LK to drop a shard during the same lockout. 2. You can 3 man the blood infusion if you have a CR. 3. After you bite someone the 3rd time you can all start killing the boss, no need for the bitten person to die. 4. DONT BUY SARONITES FROM VENDORS!!! People sell them at ah for like 25-30g each, and during your 5-6 weeks of farming shadowfrost shards you will get plenty saronites to sell at ah aswell, so it kind of refunds the money.
I completed unholy transfusion on 25man normal. It was tricky, had to click the table just before he casts tear gas, you get transformed during tear gas, then you have to kite him while pressing one over the ooze and then 6 when it's full. it can reset, it took me 3 trys. better off doing it on heroic if you can. It was my first run through on that character.
The healing dragon boss fight is the best way because they keep spawning. Then once you got them heal the boss or go into the portal to reset it. For the story about Arthas holding the Lich King back was confirmed by Uther when you go into the halls of reflection with Jiana.

Anyone doing this in legion you cant one shot the trash for "A Feast of Souls" take off some gear because you need to get one auto attack off before it will put a debuff on the mob that lets you collect soul.
Great guide, I'm now well on my way to obtaining Shadowmourne on my Paladin. Anyone doing this questline, be sure to check the auction house for the 25 primordial saronite as on my server it was 44 gold for each one which is a hell of a lot cheaper than 150 from the vendor guy in ICC, I found out the hard way and wasted over 2.5k which isn't allot to some people but for me it would have been well worth ten minutes of travel to visit the auction house. Keep them videos coming Asmongold, they help people out a lot. Liked and subbed. Thanks a million.
Just did this solo on Friday night. You just make Putrecide throw three or so vials of goop out so that you stay in the green, knock him down in health till he runs to the table, then you have enough time to hurry around and collect the stuff from the ads and them just kill the boss. Works fam. Credit goes to HeelsvsBabyface.
I remember I farmed 19 Primordial Saronite on my own and when my guild finally started raiding ICC they decided to give a guy that had been in the guild longer priority on the Saronite drops. I'm still mad about it to this day.

Blood infusion can be done with as few as 2 people if your doing it as a DK, it's just much easier with more.

although it isnt transmoggable, the glyph that makes your MH weapon appear like a weapon from your bag when using a shout works on this weapon.

Finishing the questline is easy, it's selling all the shit you get that's the real hard part.

It was tricky, had to click the table just before he casts tear gas, you get transformed during tear gas, then you have to kite him while pressing one over the ooze and then 6 when it's full.
it can reset, it took me 3 trys.
better off doing it on heroic if you can. It was my first run through on that character.

The healing dragon boss fight is the best way because they keep spawning. Then once you got them heal the boss or go into the portal to reset it. For the story about Arthas holding the Lich King back was confirmed by Uther when you go into the halls of reflection with Jiana.
Blood infusion can't be two manned anymore. Battle rez shares a cooldown with Ankh and Soulstone now. Just thought you guys should know.

combat switching 2-3 alts in your own premade is the easiest way...

As usuall,top guide,too bad to hear u didnt get it during Wrath,it was rly facepalm,especially doing battlegrounds in pve gear with shadowmourne,cheers!
Anyone doing this in legion you cant one shot the trash for "A Feast of Souls" take off some gear because you need to get one auto attack off before it will put a debuff on the mob that lets you collect soul.

Great guide, I'm now well on my way to obtaining Shadowmourne on my Paladin.
Anyone doing this questline, be sure to check the auction house for the 25 primordial saronite as on my server it was 44 gold for each one which is a hell of a lot cheaper than 150 from the vendor guy in ICC, I found out the hard way and wasted over 2.5k which isn't allot to some people but for me it would have been well worth ten minutes of travel to visit the auction house.

Just did this solo on Friday night. You just make Putrecide throw three or so vials of goop out so that you stay in the green, knock him down in health till he runs to the table, then you have enough time to hurry around and collect the stuff from the ads and them just kill the boss. you can transmog shadows edge if you havent completed the questline, got it on my warrior aswell.

I remember I farmed 19 Primordial Saronite on my own and when my guild finally started raiding ICC they decided to give a guy that had been in the guild longer priority on the Saronite drops.
I'm still mad about it to this day.
