Finally, I love your guides, they're so clear and well done. I never even bothered to try the shadowmourne quest line because I couldn't find any good guides, but I'm gonna start doing it right now

Got my shadowmourne last year on my pala, took me a long time to find nice people to do Blood Infusion. I did it with two other guildies, I think the minimum amount of players required, provided there's a resssurection ability (I used a lock).
I share the kind of sadness Ashmongold showed for not having crafted Shadowmourne during WOTLK. In my case, the sadness comes from having done all the AQ-40 chain quest up to but excluding "Bang a Gong", which denied me getting a Feat of Strength when stupidly Blizzard decided to (before Cata) remove the best quest chain in the whole game. Oh well, I kept The Scepter of the Shifting Sands (malevolous grin).
Great job with some lore explaining in the last part of the video. As someone who played Warcraft since the old days of Orcs and Humans, it was very nice to remember why lore characters act like they do, their looks, their story. Few people talk of it, nowadays.

u can't get it on hunter, only warrior paladin dk as far as i know

Superb dude this is one of the few quest lines i couldnt do (came to late for my raiding days) and i play(well dont play lol) solo now so its great to see the later stages (i did upto vampire kiss bit)so good work as always.

My guild didnt think it was a priority for me to get the last 4 shards i needed but instead let the officer who had been on holiday for weeks collect the shards he needed instead still pisses me off to this day

This couldn't have been more relevant. In my tiny guild, 2 people are currently in the process of obtaining Shadowmourne - myself as a DK and a paladin. ICC was my absolute favorite. Nostalgia to the max right now. I remember helping our guild's best Warrior getting his Shaeowmourne. It was so rewarding to ALL of us the day he finally got it. We made an event out of it and got drunk. :P I miss those days man..

I guess by now you know this, but as I saw no comment I wanted to make sure:
You can do blood infusion solo if you have 3 alts of level >= 50 (retail version).
Just Alt-F4 as soon as you got the vampire thing, relog to the first alt so it is in combat, Alt-F4-relog back to the main, bite ASAP, rinse and repeat 2 times, done. I did this last week so it works.

Excellent guide! I'm putting this here as a note.
I haven't tested this sufficiently, but me and a few friends recently did this again. He got hit twice by the frost breath, giving him 2 stacks of the frost debuff for Shadow's Edge after which Syndragosa flies up and does the entomb attack. It froze all four of us and ofc despawns her.
The debuff actually stayed on him whilest out of combat, nor did it reset when we pulled the boss again. I assume it saved us some time, as I remember I had 4 air phases where my friend only had one.
So TL;DR, Frost infusion related debuff does not fall of after combat or on boss pull. It might save you time doing that quest...

Awesome guide from gameplay perspective. Although there were several mistakes in terms of lore accuracy.
eg.
Arthas and Muradin didn't come to Northrend together. Muradin was already in Northrend searching for the blade when Arthas found him. It was from Muradin that he heard about Frostmourne first. Also Muradin warned him too against taking it. Plus, Muradin wasn't saddened then when he took it. When Frostmourne's cask exploded, a shard hit Muradin. Muradin, unconscious and bleeding, appeared to Arthas as fatally wounded, who abandoned him for dead there.
Although Muradin survived eventually. Also you forgot to mention that it was Muradin who actually trained Arthas first to be a skilled warrior. He later joined the Paladins under Uther.

For the Blood Infusion, if you're a Deathknight, you can duo it with a Shaman.
This is because the SHaman can get bit, die, self-resurrect themselves with Ankh, then you bite them again, they die once more, use your Battle rez(Ankh doesn't count as a Brez), then bite them the third time and finish up.
For Paladin or Warrior, you need at least 1 Shaman and another.
Just a small tip that may help some.
As usuall,top guide,too bad to hear u didnt get it during Wrath,it was rly facepalm,especially doing battlegrounds in pve gear with shadowmourne,cheers!

The healing dragon boss fight is the best way because they keep spawning. Then once you got them heal the boss or go into the portal to reset it. For the story about Arthas holding the Lich King back was confirmed by Uther when you go into the halls of reflection with Jiana.
Great guide, I'm now well on my way to obtaining Shadowmourne on my Paladin.
Anyone doing this questline, be sure to check the auction house for the 25 primordial saronite as on my server it was 44 gold for each one which is a hell of a lot cheaper than 150 from the vendor guy in ICC, I found out the hard way and wasted over 2.5k which isn't allot to some people but for me it would have been well worth ten minutes of travel to visit the auction house.

Blood infusion can be done with as few as 2 people if your doing it as a DK, it's just much easier with more.

I believe the difference with arthas and bolvar is that arthas merged with nerzhul to become the lich king while bolvar is now the singular chainer of the damned, and in the books at least arthas tried his best to hold back the merged being from becoming corrupt but failed in doing so.
Way go man! I'm on 16 shards in and like a schmuck missed this weeks reset cause I continued a finished instance. I'd ticket it but I know GM's can't do anything.
