I like how the designers had used the Foot Clan's theme from the 2003 animated series for the first level of the Battle Nexus video game. I wish they had still continued using more music from the 2003 animated series throughout the levels of the 2003 video game, the second Battle Nexus video game AND the third Mutant Nightmare video game to instead of making up music.
@ 1:23 when that music first played during the first episode in 2003 i instantly fell in love with that song and this show...it's just tooo freakin' awesome!!!
I have to say this game sadly had the worst gameplay control. I've never been able to win the tournaments at the BattleNexus. However, there were several things that make me keep this game! 1. Traximus 2. Leatherhead 3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Rats 4. Cool stage ideas like that snow planet 5. One of the most awesome music ever. I loved listening to this, April's Antique Shop, Bonus Materials, Peblak Alley, and BattleNexus music. This made it worth all the while! GO TMNT!! :D
I just finished this game and I never had any problem with the control. People seemed to not understand that you need to unlock combos in this game compared to the first one in order to do anything more than two or three hits. I will admit that all of the jump attacks seem to be worse compared to the first one but that may be due to gameplay changes and the fact that all but Mikey's is designed to knock opponents down in one hit now, whether stunned or not. Raphael's is still broken though and quite necessary to beat half the bosses in this game. I think it's a lot better overall than the first game, which while fun, is only a 4 hour game that forced repetition on the player in order to unlock anything. Battle Nexus is a bigger adventure with a lot more content and it even allows for four players...for better or for worse. The difficulty remains unbalanced in either game though and this includes the tournament mode. Hun becomes a rather incompetent attacker in this game but Shredder got extremely more powerful. The Battle Nexus tournament can definitely be beaten but its nigh impossible without a second player or hours and hours spent on memorizing boss patterns. Even then, Slashuur will break his pattern when and if he heals upon striking you. He's frankly the hardest boss of the entire mode, but then you fight Drako at the end who ends up being a complete pushover due to the fact that he lacks any strong attacks and can be damaged by shuriken. With four players, an onslaught of shuriken is enough to wipe out Drako and win the tournament.
@@dontegraves5051 With enough skill you can kinda beat bosses with any turtle. For example I first thought that for Elite Guard and most other bosses you need Donatello (since almost all of his combos break block), but as time went on I learned to play other turtles as well and all I can say it just takes the right timing and aim, all 4 turtles are very differently-paced and have different range
Nah I don't think they'll ever be a Cowabunga Collection with the Ps2 games. Nickelodeon won't invest a CENT in something that is not TMNT 1987 related.
My favorite villain is propably Hun but elite Foot ninjas have their own cool music. I wish TMNT 2003 soundtrack could be found from somewhere. I want listen to Shredder's soundtrack without any background noice and listen to other cool soundtracks.
@MrAwesomeMatty While I like TMNT in general, the main reason for me buying this game was the original Arcade game. Sadly (due to the stubbornness and/or greediness of Fred Wolf Films), none of the original voice-over or music tracks were kept. Instead, we got 5 new tracks: Countdown to Game Over, Level, Boss (including Shredder), In between level cut scene & Game Over.
Two things that would've been cool for this level are these: 1. It would be like playing through Episode 6 of the first game, except that all 4 turtles are at a player's control 2. First face Hun and then actually face Shredder [not just a cut scene]. I wouldn't mind facing Shredder as a boss 3 or 4 times in this game.
Love this game, but, honestly I love the first one more than two and three, whats sucks about the first one is that even if you did had an Xbox or Gamecube it was still atwo playeer game.

Fuck no. The music in the TMNT 2003 video games (especially Battle Nexus) is 120% times better than the music in the 2003 series.
Tbh I liked their custom themes, but this one's too great not to be included into a game, especially there's quite alot of Foot missions in it
part one and 3 had memorable themes bro.

Surprises me how Shredder still has the Tengu Sword in all boss battles against him.
In the cartoon, he loses it in the second mission of this game.
I am so glad someone noticed this...but the sword in the second boss battle looks very different than the Tengu one,as if he "found a new one" lol
