My favorite OEM fog lamps ever were on the 2007 Mercedes E350 (and other models). What made them truly outstanding was that they pivoted with the steering wheel: start turning the wheel left, and the fog lights tilted to the left to see what you're turning into. This came off later model Mercedes to save weight, but the design was flawless and truly made for the best fog light experience I've ever had. Perhaps one of the after market product lines could include this feature?
I love these and have been waiting for them ever since you teased them in a show long ago. The only thing I'd like to see that would improve them compared to what I have now is side-specific versions. With the fogs aiming straight out like this, the inner edge of the beam tends to hit the bumper on many fitments. And since my fogs are already side specific, they direct that 80° spread even wider when combined. That would really be cool to see as an option for these!
@@diodedynamics I know you do, you all make great stuff and it's really amazing! You can see on the Subaru on this video and today's Crosstrek video that an appreciable amount of the beam is hitting into those huge fog light surround trims. Directing that 80° spread to the sides would solve that.
