I submitted an order cancellation request after finding this review barely 48 hours after placing an order for the A3 max. They never actually responded and since I'm an international customer, didn't want to jump through their returns and refunds hoops for such a small order and decided totake a chance on to anyway. It arrived 2 days ago and I gotta say, the fit, performance and build quality is actually really good. I've never tried other brands, but I can definitely give it a recommend of the back of my own experience in hindsight.
Very honest review….you do a good job explaining why you don’t like the headstrap. I’ve been using this headstrap and actually think it’s very comfortable and enjoy the “icy padding”on the forehead. I agree the battery makes a loud noise and Annapro could probably decrease the volume, but I like that the battery produces a beep so I know it’s connecting to the headset; and if I need to replace during gameplay that beep assures me that the battery is connected again. I find the one downside is that the battery sticks out in the back so it’s uncomfortable to lay down to watch a movie. Anyway, I do enjoy the A3 headstrap but totally respect your honest review….keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words! It's good to know this head strap is comfortable and works well for others 😄. I always feel bad giving such reviews, but I have to give my honest thoughts and share my real experience.
Got this for $10 off my friend, sound was not as high and fit's perfect for my head. Charging is slow but it still a win for me. I don't think I would pay full price though.
I'm sorry you feel frustrated but on the plus side, your frustration is our entertainment, also great for seeing such an honest review. Keep up the hard work, it's much appreciated.
I also received this for review purposes but it's the first time I've ever declined a review, those stoppers on the side panels ruin everything, even the Quest2 never had halo straps this bad. I told them about it months ago so it's a shame nothing's changed since. It's surprising because their Elite strap was way ahead of the competition, but they dropped the ball on this.
I own this and I agree on many issues, but to say it’s loud enough to be heard through walls and wake neighbours was a bit extreme. It is annoying and louder than should be, but it’s not gonna wake up anyone unless they’re asleep in the same room.
@ Possibly. I have a newborn at home and after he’s in bed, I play until 12am and no one hears it. I find too that the battery doesn’t do a good job at charging the headset. It struggles to keep the unit charged
just a question. Why u try to fit the headset without the sponge on it? sure its more narrow without it but maybe it could fith better with it. or not?
I'm assuming by "sponge" you mean the facial interface. This is a halo strap, so many users (including myself) will compare it directly to other halo-style straps that can be worn with or without a facial interface. While this can be worn with a facial interface, the primary ergonomic issue remains with the facial interface supporting the headset more than the top strap, and when the top halo strap is in a good position, you still have issues with the rear cup being at an awkward angle. This fails to mention the battery noise and sharp dial edges. When you compare this head strap to its competition, it just isn't worth recommending with the issues it has, when you can pay a similar price for something that's more refined.

I've tried a ton of head straps and this is my new favourite. The BoboVR M3 pro is also good but the battery is slightly smaller.
Super Honest review, thanks
I bought it, and think it is comfortable and much better than without it.
It's a super comfortable strap that sits on the top of your head and never makes you sweat or hot like other headsets.

@@ThisKory Don’t be sorry! I’d rather u give an honest review than lie and deceive your viewers! Much respect! 💪
4:46 i thought you were going to cry because how bad it is lol , thanks for the review!
That's why I put on the headset immediately after. I didn't want you to see the tears 😅 Cheers bud!

Don't cry dude. It's just a head strap and not that important
..but.. my emotions... 🥹
I agree. That head strap was designed by someone that doesn’t use one.

Haha thank you Phil! I appreciate your optimism 😄I'll continue to do my best to entertain! Hope you have a good new year bud!

You should’ve tried it with the 3s for some reason it fits perfectly with the 3s 🥺
thank you for your honest review. would you think the Kiwi K4 strap is a better choice?
I've used the K4 (without a battery) and it was nice. I can't speak of the K4 battery strap though because I haven't used it.

I disagree, but perhaps my unit is louder than yours due to manufacturing discrepancies.

@@ThisKory Ah I see. Thanks for the explanation. Yea I mean facial interface just didn't know the name of it :D
Hey can you give me a quick recommendation for the best battery head strap? I need to order one asap
@@briancrink-tech Bobo VR S3 battery head strap
As is, the design is flawed. What would fix it is a hinge for the back head cup.
Dam , I was just about to order this one as price was good. BoboVR S3 is overpriced
No, the official elite strap is overpriced. The S3 is a GREAT strap, probably the best one you can get imo
The Globular Cluster CMQ3, or KKCOB head strap are pretty solid options if you don't care for the fan and displays on the S3.
So what you are saying is, don’t buy this.
This is the correct observation 😅
