Congrats to Chag for making such a good bounceback after his set with Dabuz. Ult Summit 4 really is looking like it has a high potential for more crazy upsets than what has been seen today.
Having the second-best Diddy in the world come and talk on commentary really helps here.
Hope they do this more when there is the opportunity to do so, as character mains obviously know specific matchups and interactions far better than even the most knowledgeable commentators/players.

I think it's safe to say Chag is the best Palu right now. I know people like to say it's between him and Lui$ but the more I look at Chag I just feel like his Palu just overall seems more impressive. Lui$ is still amazing it's just that Chag is really giving it his all with this character whole Lui$ kinda struggles sometimes and might switch off to a secondary when he finds difficulty in some matches. Chag is the type to stick to it till the end and it really shows here with how well he has practiced this matchup. And a good set from both players with very close games all around.

Luis said in an AMA on reddit (this was during summit campaigning so pretty recent) that Chag is the best Palu (the comment asking the question specifically mentioned that they weren't asking for the better player so that's still up for debate). Luis said it was easily Chag cuz he's got 2 years worth of Palu experience compared to Luis who just picked her up during the wifi era.

chag made some waves at the last genesis before smash 4 died and dropped off for a bit but he’s on another level now
I feel like Mexican players in general have great mindsets. They practice the matchups correctly and rarely crumble under pressure

Even just counting Ultimate, Chag has been a top 10 player in Mexico pretty much since the game began. It's a combination of his improvement during quarantine and people only recently starting to pay attention to Mexico.

Chag was playing crazy that last game. Tweek SDing multiple times definitely played a role in the match momentum but that last game was pure Chag skill prevailing no doubts
I feel like people take away too much credit from people when top players SD- unless it’s some bullshit, it’s really hard to make someone at that level play in a way that could make an SD happen possibly happen, the mental game is real af

I think youre just a Tweek hater lol. Lavish, Elegant, and a few others have been taking their losses hard and being emotional mid and end of the sets as well (some showing it through body language more than others). You say Tweek's being arrogant, but he's shaking his head because he's being hard on himself and overanalyzing his mistakes made during and after each respective game, not shit talking his fellow competitors in his head. Dont paint players to be "arrogant," especially when theres been a lot of growth from these players over the years, both in AND out of game. Chag got the dub being the better player this set, he earned it, and both players fist bumped after the set respectfully just like everyone else at the end of their sets.
