Chris Cuff suggested soaking the idler in dot 3 brake fluid for 10-15 days. I was skeptical but figured, "nothing ventured, nothing gained." OMG it worked. Now the EY-2 is running smooth as silk for the first time since I've owned it. The man is a genius.
Any suggestion on how to make the plate to start faster? I know that the problem is not in that wheel because it’s still soft, and after one side of listening the start is faster. I think something is getting warm and that’s why it’s faster. No noise of friction anyhow:) so if you have a solution I’ll be glad to hear. Thanks!
Clean the platter where the idler wheel idles. next clean the platter spindle the inside part and put an oil. last clean the motor bearings and put new grease on it. Sometimes the motor grease become hard thats why if you turn on the table it starts slowly until heated up thats the time it will run as intended. hope it helps.

the best way to do this is to make a new rubber. or rubber bonding

This Lenco has a pitch control buddy. you can fine tune the speed.
