Live recordings/performances are SUPPOSE to be better than the studio ones. But this usually ONLY happens when you use a live band. That's one reason I can't stand hip hop because only a handful of rappers use a live band. I didn't come here to watch you talk over a turntable, I can do that at home by pressing play on the album.

Now my island holds a Show every yr called the St.Kitts Music Festival. They did in 2010 and Sisqo did in 2015 or 2016 I believe. Copped both and they didn't disappoint. They have dropped a cpl of singles in the last cpl of years too that were great. Check them out when you have a chance.
I applaud Sisqo for walking away from an industry that tried to control them and their direction of their music career. He said in his documentary/story, that he couldn't bring his own peeps to be part of the success process from producer, engineer etc so everybody can eat ,$$$, he didn't want no part of it'. The label they sign with wanted to have full control and bring in their own people vs Dru Hill using his own crew. In so many words that's why their career didn't last that long in the lime light. That's mad respect to Sisqo for standing his ground. 🙏🏾

In the 90's those two new members of Dru Hill were in a group of their own called Playa. They sang "Cheers To You" and worked with Timbaland and Missy. There was a 3rd member but he passed away.

Members have come and gone but the vocals never leave. The guys from playa fit perfectly. When Tao joined a while back it gave the group a whole new level of sound that they didn't have before. Jazz and Sisqo are like Kobe and Shaq. Together they are damn near unbeatable!!!
I’m from Baltimore and Dru Hill is from here. They are and will FOREVER be a big deal to us. Growing up and memorizing Dru Hill songs on the radio by heart was a rite of passage for us. I am so honored that talent like this came from my city for the whole world to enjoy. I love them so much! ♥️♥️

That's a great question and the answer is people like yourself and I who enjoy great music such as groups like Dru Hill we don't do enough to make sure that they are on the charts instead the so-called rappers that use a ton of Auto-Tune trying to sing is now put into the R&B category and the Young Generation think that type of music is the way R&B is supposed to be song for example the youngster's thing NBA youngboy is R&B because he's not singing he's crying and whining like a toddler in the studio and that's he is always on the charts instead of groups like Dru Hill Jodeci Jagged Edge Etc
Its because true RnB is becoming a lost art. Artists such as Tank, Eric Roberson, Anthony Hamilton are trying to hold on but with so many avenues for independent artists to distribute their work unfortunately its becoming harder to find these hidden gems.
They can't get along long enough is why and really create even though they've got the athletics and swag still. Also the audience is todays' young that comes up with a different vibe that Dru Hill with there problems didn't think beyond themselves to keep creating like Usher, Ne-yo, even Timberlake, etc. to stay in touch; they all can easily chart.
Back when singers had actual training and could sing without the help of technology. They knew the right notes, the right key, and the right tone. More of this, please.

I applaud Sisqo for walking away from an industry that tried to control them and their direction of their music career. He said in his documentary/story, that he couldn't bring his own peeps to be part of the success process from producer, engineer etc so everybody can eat ,$$$, he didn't want no part of it'. The label they sign with wanted to have full control and bring in their own people vs Dru Hill using his own crew. In so many words that's why their career didn't last that long in the lime light.

In the 90's those two new members of Dru Hill were in a group of their own called Playa. They sang "Cheers To You" and worked with Timbaland and Missy. There was a 3rd member but he passed away.

I’m from Baltimore and Dru Hill is from here. They are and will FOREVER be a big deal to us. Growing up and memorizing Dru Hill songs on the radio by heart was a rite of passage for us. I am so honored that talent like this came from my city for the whole world to enjoy. I love them so much! ♥️♥️

Its because true RnB is becoming a lost art. Artists such as Tank, Eric Roberson, Anthony Hamilton are trying to hold on but with so many avenues for independent artists to distribute their work unfortunately its becoming harder to find these hidden gems.
They can't get along long enough is why and really create even though they've got the athletics and swag still. Also the audience is todays' young that comes up with a different vibe that Dru Hill with there problems didn't think beyond themselves to keep creating like Usher, Ne-yo, even Timberlake, etc. to stay in touch; they all can easily chart.
Back when singers had actual training and could sing without the help of technology. They knew the right notes, the right key, and the right tone. More of this, please.
