Jack, I have to say, when the Megamix first premiered and I heard those spacious and dreamy guitar chords ringing out as the opening credits appeared on-screen... it was a genuine "woah" moment. It sincerely wowed me in a way that's difficult to put into words. The clarity and depth of sound, the immaculate reverb and delay, the precise instrumentation... everything just sounds heavenly here and really takes you into a different space - even without headphones! Of course, the acoustic guitar is amazing in and of itself, but the supporting parts just bring it to the next level. I love that gentle synth pluck in the lower octaves, providing a nice, subtle counter-rhythm, while the clean electric guitar compliments its acoustic counterpart beautifully, first providing a supportive harmony, then taking over the melody. I also am really fond of that high-octave flute later on, for a bit of whimsical energy sprinkled over an otherwise chilled-out soundscape. Lovely usage of pizzicato plucks, as well, and you have a remarkable ability to let no instrument or note be wasted or without purpose. Excellent work with the percussive elements here, as well. There's a lot of intent and feeling in the beat, and the vintage-styled drums really support the vaporwave style you're going for. I could honestly see this being played in either the opening or closing credits of a poignant emotionally charged movie... and it seems I'm not alone in feeling that this is the perfect piece to set the stage for something meaningful and cherished! :) I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, my friend, and I look forward to another year of fantastic music on your channel! 🌟
