- For TODAY'S video, we are going back to the 2013 NBA Playoffs, and RE-SIMULATING them here on NBA2K23! So, will history will re-peat itself, or be re-written?! Well, we have the accurate rosters from 2013, and this simulation was MADNESS! The 2013 NBA playoffs was one of the best! It was the Miami Heat who won the Finals against the San Antonio Spurs back in 7 games, and it was legendary... TODAYS throwback playoff simulation was intense, players such as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Tim Duncan and more, all in this sim! The first playoffs I remember watching was 1993, the end of the first Jordan three-peat. I'm aging myself on here, but hey, being young and watching Jordan play was incredible. I actually saw him play live once. It was in his return, he was still wearing 45. It was in New Jersey against the Nets and he only scored 19, but I love that I can say I saw him play live.
First finals I watched was 08. I was only 7 and my brother loved Kobe. I just remember loving Lamar Odom. I became a Heat fan in 09 when all my friends and family in Miami were talking about Dwyane Wade. But the first playoffs where I watched every game was 2012. I loved the big 3 heat team, especially because i loved Chris bosh. Been a die hard heat fan through good and bad ever since.

I had spurs winning it all this simulation. My First playoffs watching was 2019. Overall was 2016 but like a few games, But I was still in elementary at the time lol.

The first time I watch NBA was Stephen Curry and Warriors 2012 NBA playoffs vs Denver Nuggets me as 4 years old kid seeing Curry shooting 3’s all day I automatically love him. That how I became Curry fan and Warriors fan.

I remember the first series I watched, it was the 2008 NBA Finals. Watching Kobe, KG, pierce and these boys got me into basketball. I still remember those lakers Celtics battles as well as the Orlando magic with Dwight Howard

(1) The Nuggets didn’t beat the warriors in real life (2) Rose didn’t play in these playoffs, he was injured (3) You should manage the ratings and team logos/courts for these too if possible. Klay was nowhere near an 86 overall in 2013.

Btw a suggestion to make the playoffs more realistic:
Make the rosters as legit as possible, since stars such as Derrick Rose and Kobe Bryant didnt play in the playoffs irl
Also, the Warriors beat the Nuggets 4-2 in the First Round, then lost 4-2 to the Spurs

Also, I predict in 10 years, you will be able to start in My League in any season that you chose from 1960-present so that jerseys, jersey numbers, logos, courts, and history will be all accurate! If BasketballGM can do it for free, then 2K can easily achieve this in the next decade. Mark my words.
All these sims on everyone’s channel don’t have any time outs left when there’s 3 seconds left to tie/win the game. Kills me how unrealistic it is. Having to throw the ball like a football 🏈 at the end to tie or win the game.
